*hugs if you take them* That hurts a lot. I am so sorry that happened. You have all of these warm and fuzzy feelings about this person, and you find out they think you're meh. That happened to me with my brother. I told him he was one of my best friends. He said we have an ok relationship.
I have to remember that our feelings towards someone, whether they return them or not, are our feelings. We can't just say "oh wow that's how you feel about me? thanks i'll change my opinion of you." It hurts us when people say this, because we care, but don't for a second change that about you. We need more people who love openly and honestly. 💚
I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through this. Your feelings are completely understandable, and this must be a very difficult time for you.
Just try to remember that this loss is another stepping stone to a brighter future... [or at least that's what I try to keep telling myself when my "friends" disappear and cut off without a word...

I blocked him. Saw him today. Ignored each other. The tension was not fun. Finally talked more later, casually. But I won’t unblock him. I have before. And I went right back to the same treatment… No more.
