Journal prompt ❤
Hello everyone coming across, I hope y'all are doing well. ❤
I feel sometimes when it's hard to actually assess what we need (to do) a certain flow can give a good kick-start to coming up with something.
Journal prompts I feel, are amazing kick-starters to help one get into this flow state. Sharing a prompt with everyone:
To be more compassionate towards myself, I am willing to try…
Feel free to fill/share as you please. ❤
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
To be more compassionate towards myself, I am willing to try…to reduce my latte intake 😂🤦🏻♀️ to start practicing yoga again even if it means body pain all over again 😛
Thanks Sunnie, this is a nice reminder!
@ouiCherie
Hiyaa Cherie, good to see you always and ofcourse, happy to remind everyone hehe. 💜
Aww getting back onto your yoga mat sounds fabbb, yes body pains for a while but ooof, I've heard the benefits of doing yoga are tremendous 😮 And to reduce latte, such a tough one but but I know you got this, Cheriee, one cup at a time? XD *hugsss and cheers you on* 🤗
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
One cup at a time and maximum 7 Cups 😂🤣
@ouiCherie
I will drink a coffee to that! Or a chai latte.
I don't know what causes your body aches/pains but don't push too hard. Small increments go a long way. I am going to wait for the swimming pool myself. Painless exercise (aerobic and resistance training). Works for me because I can't fall. Otherwise it is floor, chair or counter exercising for me. Will be happy to 'train' with you...er... be the person you have to report to, anyway, to keep you on task.
Try whatever I can to make life better,inspite of the humiliating background noise
Hey @helloTortoise301, thanks for replying. ❤ Humiliating noises in the background are no fun, it's upsetting you have to put up with them but yayy to your "can-do" attitude and willingness to do what you can to make your life better for yourself, sometimes we really have to take that steering wheel in hand and drive the way we want. One day at a time, okay(?) You got this. ❤
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
To be more compassionate towards myself , I am wanting to accept myself the way I am and be at peace with all my flaws and short comings .
Also I am wanting to not compare myself with others .
Hey @calmsoulmeet, that's such a thoughtful answer. ❤
Someone once said Comparison is the thief of Joy and it certainly makes sense, sometimes comparing ourselves to others brings nothing good to us and thus letting it go, accepting ourselves the way we are, being the #flawsome we that we are, being the *human* that we are ~ who's allowed to be "not-perfect" and a "work-in-progress" simultaneously is valid and greatly needed. I'm super proud of you for considering these awesome ways to show more compassion towards yourself, Calm and I have faith in you. Keep it up. ❤
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou to be more forgiving towards myself and treat myself as I would treat a best friend.
Hey @CompassionateSophia, I really like your username. ❤
Forgiveness towards self somehow seems to be the hardest ever, but so very necessary, we too deserve all the kindness, forgiveness and compassion for ourselves and the least of all, to give ourselves the leverage of making mistakes as a human and learning from them. Super proud of you and rooting for you as you cheer yourself like a bestfriend would. ❤
To be more compassionate towards myself, I am willing to try and be kind in my self talk. To better understand my feelings and reactions to them and not compare my feelings to others.
Hello @orangeTriangle4803, I really commend you for acknowledging the need to be more kind in your self-talk, accepting and understanding your feelings and to avoid comparing them with others. Your feelings are valid always and deserve a safe space of understanding where they are welcomed, acknowledged and accepted as they are. Wishing you well as you try being more compassionate towards yourself, Orange. One feeling at a time, we can do this. ❤
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou I am willing to try saying no to things that I don’t really want to do.
You know, that little statement is so much harder to do than it sounds.
Saying no to what doesn’t feel right for me means feeling like a bad spouse, parent, sibling, child, friend. Nobody else seems to need to say no to the same things I do. I just end up saying mean things to myself about being too weak and such.
Sorry, I think I made this more complicated than it needed to be. I still want to try to say no to things.
Hiya @EmbracingChaos, lovely to meet you. 😊
It's really uncanny how many of us struggle with saying this simple 2 letter word to people, telling someone No really does seem so hard, with the many follow up thoughts of guilt, hesitation, discomfort surrounding the same.
I get how it makes you question being a bad "someone" to your close ones, that's simply you being a kind person not wanting to hurt or disappoint anyone, it's definitely a hard realization and takes time to build the resilience and acceptance with, but here you go, you are never a bad person (insert any other of your roles in life ~ spouse, parent, friend etc) for telling No to something that you don't like or want to do. When you say No to something, you're saying Yes to something that aligns more with you and that's a good enough reason to politely use that two letter word, you are allowed to say Yes to things that matter to you and work for you. And hey hey spoiler alert? *you* matter, your voice matters, what's important to you ~ matters.
And not complicated hehe, I gotchu. ❤ I'm super proud of you wanting to put your own needs and wants above everything and to use the necessary word, an important boundary setting where needed. Truly hoping it goes well and brings you more calm, you deserve to feel content with your choices.
Also, I must say, I really like how validating your username is. Gotta embrace it all hehe. All the love and strength to you. ❤
Take some time off, just resting, and not feel guilty about it
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou
To be more compassionate with myself, I am willing to try eliminating my negative self-talk as well as “should” statements. I am also willing to relax more and work at surrounding myself with more positivity.

Hi @LovingPeacefulHeart, nice to see you again. Self talk makes such a huuuuge difference I feel, I'm so glad you're willing to avoid the "should" statements that make things hard for you and to be more kind and compassionate towards yourself through positive self talk as well as surrounding yourself with positivity. Way to go, Heart. ❤
And yay, thankyou for tagging more people to share too. <3
Thank you for tagging me @LovingPeacefulHeart
To be more compassionate towards myself, I am willing to try accepting the emotions that I am feeling without immediately trying to force them away. I also will try to write at least three things in my gratitude journal twice a week minimum.
Hiya @InternalAcceptance, that's something I need to work on more as well, to allow the emotions be and to feel and accept them without forcing them away or suppressing them too much, it's hard, I understand but I'm so proud of you for willing to try it for you to increase being self- compassionate. ❤
And yay, gratitude journaling is fantastic and I'm sooo rooting for you as you keep up with these practices for yourself. Great going. <3
