The 'One Small Step' Weekly Challenge: What's Your Goal?
Do you ever feel like your goals and responsibilities for the week are a single, giant, tangled knot? It looks like a hopeless mess, and pulling on the wrong thread can feel like it makes everything even tighter.
But you can't untangle a knot all at once. The only way to do it is to gently find one loose end and work on that one small section. As you loosen that first part, the next part becomes easier to see and work with.
Instead of yanking at the whole mess, we're going to find one loose thread i.e. one small, actionable step. By focusing on that one thing, we can begin to gently untangle the week ahead, creating a sense of calm and control.
Positive routines are built on a foundation of small, consistent actions. When you complete one tiny task, you create momentum that can carry you through the entire day, and even the week. It’s about proving to yourself, one step at a time, that you can do it.
What is your small step for the week? There is no goal too small. It starts with simply committing to doing something that progresses your life. Here are a few ideas to get you thinking:
"Tidy my nightstand."
"Drink one extra glass of water each day."
"Schedule that appointment I've been putting off."
"Go for one 10-minute walk outside."
"Send a text to a friend I haven't spoken to in a while."
"Spend 15 minutes organizing my computer desktop."
And here's where the accountability piece comes into play!
Every Friday, we will meet in the Wellness Accountability room, where everyone will share their progress, celebrate their efforts (no matter the outcome!), and head into the weekend feeling accomplished.
Tell us your goal in the replies and meet me this Friday at 4PM EST!
Together, we can be productive, one step at a time!

I lit my candle today. It reminds me to slow down. Be in the moment. Start again more calmly.
@SkillfullMeans
that's a beautiful mindfulness practice! is the candle scented?
@Heather225
Oh yes for sure scented! Today's is Lavender Sage, Yankee candle. "The housewarmers, our strongest scented candle."

I absolutely love every bit of this, your doing great I love all these updates!
Trying to find roommates and more friends IRL despite what my ex said to me right before be broke up with me.
I reached out to people, and they took me out for brunch, hang outs… as for roommates put myself out there and seeing places and meeting up with others to see places to rent together, and also finding work… a lot of stressors added together.
I feel like I don’t need the motivation to “spite him” or “prove him wrong” like I used to do when I was younger, but it helped me a lot when I had a lot less to help me in terms of resources, etc. I had unsupportive parents, dare I say, abusive. I deserved better.
Anyways, at least I’m moving forward and trying my best to feel better despite circumstances.
A loose thread… Reminds me of Enola Holmes. Hehe
@Heather225
Every day, I try and summarise at least one academic journal for all of my university modules so that I can have an easier time when writing my essays at the end of the semester.
I am a very disorganized person, trauma-related. My caregiver came and rearranged my room last week as a surprise, and I've kept it gorgeous for the whole week. Usually it looks like a tornado came through two days later, but I maintained it. :)
@Heather225
Hey, Great idea and i went into detail with messenger. You weren't active but i thought all my thoughts would be saved there, when you got active but i guess they don't save.
Thanks for the kind words and encouagement. And collaberating is a great idea.... the more, the better and let the goodness flow.
I can't commit to the chat room but i surely can encourage others to get involved. This is really an awesome idea and the personal interaction can be beautiful!
Don't be afraid to come to the thread (week 41) and bend some ears!
I'm sorry i missed the conversation earlier as i took a break last week.
Be well and may your Monday be Powerful Good!
@Heather225
