🌞 This past week seemed to go by again pretty quickly....And was a 'mix' of a week~ We started off Last weekend by getting out on Saturday to take a "Road-trip" for the day. We did some sight-seeing, visited an interesting history museum, & stopped to visit a few other places on the way there and back....On Sunday my family and I all came together to celebrate Easter at my Moms. And we enjoyed a wonderful dinner that she prepared. All in all it was a great weekend, with enjoyable weather, fun, and family time.
🌺 This past week, while I did manage to get back on track after the holiday, and stay on track with my goals, classes, & activities, I also became very tired and wasn't quite feeling up-to-par.... I found myself taking things easier throughout the week, and giving into plenty of naps & selfcare time when needed! I also reminded myself that I don't always need to be on the go or pushing every hour of the day.... The weather also took a "cooler" turn as well, so I wasn't able to get the Furbaby out for his usual walks.....Hopefully there will be a few of those in the week to come.
🌞 This weekend will be spent with intentions of getting things done and getting caught-up on various errands. And hopefully relax with some good healthy food and a good movie by days end as I prepare for the week ahead.... In the coming week I will need to attend (as well as schedule) various healthy appointments... as well as also finishing up working on more CEUs for another License I have.... I imagine it will be a steady week of things to do, as well as keep me busy... The past week I wasn't fully on track as I had "Hoped" to be after the holiday, but prayerfully in the week ahead, I will do much better~
JUST FOR FUN: 3 THINGS THAT CAN ALWAYS BE FOUND IN MY REFRIGERATOR ARE:
"WATER" (& LOTS of it!), EGGS, & LOTS of "VEGGIES"~
@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. I went for a walk 3 times. Tuesday I went to a new library because their website had an advertisement for a chess club. When I got there they said they haven't had chess for several months. That was a big disappointment. I discovered this adaptogenic mushroom root beer that I can buy using food stamps. It sounds weird but it tastes very good. Wednesday I took a shower. It was an ordeal. Thursday I had Chuck take my bedding set to the laundromat. I shouldn't have to pay for my own laundry but Leslie is not helpful. It cost me $20. I prayed a few times but only read my devotional book once. I'm still believing God for deliverance soon.
@Regmo
Hey there Regmo~
Great job on getting out and about for 3 walks this week. Keep up the good work that you are doing getting your activity in. That certainly must’ve been disappointing to hear about the chess club. That can really be upsetting when facilities or websites don’t change their advertising to accommodate “changes”. That’s happened to me too in the past so I understand the disappointment when you were looking forwards to it…. That’s nice that you found a drink that you like that you can also get using your stamps. And that you enjoy it. Good job to you on getting in your shower! Definitely a positive step there… Thats also great that Chuck was able to help you out with your laundry Despite Leslie not keeping up with things the way she should. There should definitely be a way for your laundry to be taken care of in the household you are staying in… Good job to you on continuing to Pray. We must definitely stay diligent with prayer. Even when we are having a difficult time & may not have the words. Even in those times we can ask God to please hear our hearts. I think it’s also good that you were still able to get your devotional in even if only once. Once is better than not at all. So again good job & keep up the good work. And thank you for checking in to share this week and letting us know how everything is going.
🌞Hey Everyone~ Welcome to "APRIL"!.. How has the first week gone for you so far?... How was your Easter if you celebrated?
I can for sure say that my first week of April has been interesting lol, and we went to an easter at Church
🌺 This is our "FIRST" Check-in for the month "APRIL"..... What things are you looking forwards to for yourself the Most in this new Month ahead?!
To be completely honest, I am looking forward to getting a dining room table, the doggy we are trying to adopt from the rescue center, and trying to decide what color palette to do for the wedding. So far we have the date set, and the venue picked out, but measurements for the wedding dress and tux still have to happen. We also are working on the invites. We are beyond excited!
🌼 What are some New goals, Plans, or Intentions that you'd like to work on or set for April?!.... What things would you like to get accomplished for yourself this month?!
The plan is to continue to get the wedding stuff done, continue to save, get our new fur baby, and start looking for pre-k schools nearby for the little one. I'm nervous but also super excited for her to start school next year. Another plan is to start saving for the wedding which is coming up soon and to get the marriage license done soon.
🌞 JUST FOR FUN:... NAME 3 THINGS that can always be found in your Refrigerator!
1. Lactaid cartons
2. Leftovers
3. yogurts/cheese stixs
🌺 What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" of the week?.... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
Let's begin with the positives, My fiancée and I have not been butting heads as much anymore, we have been able to discuss things more openly and we have created boundaries as husband and wife now that we are going. I feel that is important to upgrade the boundaries for husband and wife because each stage as a couple should be recognized, just like how we had boundaries as boyfriend and girlfriend. Another positive, my daughter has been learning more words and has been holding even more communication with my fiancée and me. Now for the struggles, we all have been sick. We are all still recovering from the strep so it has been rather bumpy as of late.
🌼 What is something that "YOU" want to talk about, add or share with us this week?! .... WE want to hear from YOU~
Now something about me, I read a blog this morning validating my emotions for having DID and being a system. Why I felt so validated because, within the blog, the writer was debunking the myths about having DID. However, the only part I did not agree with was " no such thing as teenage/ adult" counterparts, when DID is already complex as is, and no one not even the writer should be telling others who do have teenage/ adult counterparts that it does not exist when DID is complex as is. I felt that this discovery made me feel that it was okay for me to have DID and live in peace without being an oddball lol, excluding the one part the writer said only because I have teenage/adult alters due to the high-impact traumas I went through. So I do feel that DID is very much an interpersonal thing.
@InsightfulPhoenix
Hey there~
It’s so much fun (as well as interesting) when decorating a new place. I find it’s always nice getting new things & as well starting fresh in a new home with new things! So I can understand you looking forwards to doing so…. As well as getting that new Furbaby of yours! And continuing to plan for your wedding. It definitely sounds like you currently have much excitement on your radar ahead! And It sounds like you will also continue to keep Quite busy this month in all the planning & preparing for everything!
It’s great for you all that as things are continuing to get closer, that you & your partner have been able to continue to come together and set aside & work through your differences. As well as working on being more open to each other. Setting & creating boundaries is definitely something we should do or talk about in any relationship we have (important or otherwise). So great job to you both & definitely continue to keep up the great work there. As it’s so important.
Despite the struggles of being sick recently, How awesome for you that your daughter is continuing to grow & learn, and is coming along in her communication efforts. That’s definitely such a fun time for sure! (Don’t forget to write down or record all the little things she says & does at this age)! What a joy it will be years from now to go back and remember it all! … And in the meantime, we wish you all well on your continued recovery from Strep! (My son used to get that all the time when he was younger & in school)! … definitely not a fun time by any means. So Get well soon!
I think no matter what we go through in life, that we all inevitably like to be validated in our feelings & emotions. Especially when it comes to our Health, (physically, mentally etc…)… and I agree that whether it’s DID (or anxiety, depression, & so many others etc..), that it’s ALL an interpersonal thing that nobody has the right to lay their “personal” feelings on regarding the subject. Many of these health & wellness issues/topics are all often traced back to Traumas in our lives that we may have experienced…. So it’s good for you personally that the blog allowed you to mostly feel validated in your emotions (despite that one snippet that didn’t). So it’s good you are choosing to focus on the positives of the blog & that overall it made you feel better about things! Continue to keep up all the great work & efforts that you have been doing & putting in with so much going on in your life.~
And we thank you for continuing to check in and keep us updated along the way with everything as it all continues to unfold & comes together. So Please continue to check back and let us know how things keep going.
I have been sedentary this month. I eat lots of veggies and protein. I take medicine. I have been making coffee with honey as sweetener. It tastes quite good. I want to lose 10 lbs. by the end of May 2024.
@AliceCrystal
Hey there Alice~
Despite being sedentary this month, it’s seems like you are doing a good job at sticking to some other healthy habits that you’ve created for yourself?!
Veggies & Protein are a great, healthy & powerful combination…. Using honey instead of sugars & artificial sweeteners is also a good & healthy option as well in moderation (as portion size is key with honey)…I love to use honey on my Oatmeal at times. Monk Fruit is also a great & natural sweetener if you’ve never tried it?! You can typically find this at the grocery store in the condiments or organic food aisles.
With this being Mid-April, losing 10lbs by the end of May is a healthy & attainable goal (based on 1-2 lbs weekly).
Hopefully you can find ways or the motivation you might need to incorporate more activity this month & in May that you like & enjoy as well?! In the meantime continue to keep up the good work you are doing in your healthy choices.
And Thank you for checking in this week to share. Please continue to keep us updated on your progress.
@PoliteOcean
What things would you like to get accomplished for yourself this month?!
Well, I don't have a credit card. So, I was thinking about doing that this month.
NAME 3 THINGS that can always be found in your Refrigerator!
Paprika for some reason, this flat belly juice that my dad swears by, and garlic cloves.

And you now totally have me curious about your dad’s flat-belly drink in the fridge?! 😮… I wonder what’s in it! 🤔
@PoliteOcean
I have no idea what's in that stuff. 🤣 Something with shell-fish and moss I think. It smells though, and tastes even worse. He just keeps saying if it tastes and smells bad then you know it's healthy.
