Each month, the Community Team shares updates from our respective domains, including highlights and opportunities for the community (you!) to get involved in.

It only makes sense that we also host an Ambassador edition. Please read on to learn about the most significant developments and achievements of each of these leaders and their projects over this past month. If the text below is not readable, click here to read it in doc form.

Suryansh - Group Support & Listener Chatrooms
Hello everyone! I hope September was good for all of you. We had some major updates in the previous month.

In the Group Support Leadership, we onboarded 11 Room Supporters and 4 Chatroom Moderators, out of whom 6 are Teen Leaders. The Sharing Circle team has recently introduced THIS Refresher Quiz for our hosts. Please do attempt this amazing refresher. We have also onboarded new Doorkeepers, who will extend their support for efficient room management. The Group Support team thanks you all for your support and efforts in keeping the community safe and welcoming for everyone! I would also like to highly appreciate our Group Support Mentor Leaders, @Lou73 for her phenomenal work in the Sharing Circle team and @ASilentBunny for his amazing work in the RS/Mod team.

Under Chatroom leadership, we onboarded @niamh333 as our newest Adult & Teen Chatroom Mentor and @BunnyLovesYou, @Averyjr23 & @ChillingRain as our newest Listener Chatroom Supporters. We are glad to have you all on the team. Feel free to message them personally to congratulate and welcome them to the team.

Under Chat Support, we have @Lunaire00, @Mari228 and @DisLifeNot joining us on the Chat Support team. We are glad to have them on the team. Feel free to message them personally to congratulate and welcome them to the team. Secondly, the Chat Support Emergency Request Form has now changed to the Listener Support Request Form, which is accessible from HERE. One can request any chatroom leader now with the help of the Listener Support Request form. Feel free to read more about the change from HERE. Also, we are planning on introducing another Chat Support refresher in the upcoming days. If you have any suggestions or ideas, feel free to privately message me.

Yourbuddy30 - General Academy

This month has been my first Ambassador month. It was a completely new experience for me and also a fun one.

I have been working on awarding the Time management Course and Community Building Course final form evaluation and awarding the certificates to the members who were successful in completing the coursework.

I have also helped the academy domain by setting up alerts to attract more audiences to enroll themselves into the academy programs.

I also worked on sending out Internship Certificates ( Student and Community Track ) to the interns who did a great job during the internship program.

Clarisse29 - Content Development and Marketing Program

September was my first month of being an Ambassador and I have been enjoying it so far. It has been positively challenging and I’m always excited to see this community grow. For this month, I onboarded 3 new mentors onto the CDM team, two of whom have also shown interest in helping out with the forums.

Together, we have planned to run 2 forum series to increase engagement simultaneously- Prompt of The Week and Mental Health Trivia. Moreover, I am working on OKRs for the program. I sent certificates to and badged 4 new graduates from the program. I am also working on trainee and mentor outreach for the program and forum supporter outreach for the forums. I have also been working on revising CDM guides, doing away with things that are not required anymore, and additions that might help improve the CDM experience.

We still need a mentor leader for the program though. If you’re interested in being a part of the CDM team, please apply here! We can always use more hands on deck!

DreamTouch - Leadership Development Program

Happy October to all! I’m happy to share that we welcomed three new mentors to our team - @Chetan1408, @GoldenRuleJG and @rubyjane00. We’re grateful for their service and excited to see their contributions. On the trainee front we had 2 new graduates on our Leadership Development Program - @lovelyApple6441 and @pandanfe. Congratulations both.

This month I have been working on onboarding new trainees, scheduling emails to them, badging  as well as sending certificates to the graduates. We are also working on trailing a new mentor to our program soon. Our program has been running smoothly, just as it usually does and thanks to the Mentor Leaders and all the mentors for their prompt and diligent work. We look forward to having more trainees in the program and to witness their growth as future leaders! If you’re interested, feel free to apply from here

Tommy - Communities

It has been a very busy but productive month! We have onboarded several new leaders and have continued to support our newer communities on their growth. A particular mention needs to go to @MistyMagic for helping finalise the restructuring for Hobby Zone and has helped relocate many threads into their new communities.

Our current challenges include increasing the number of events and discussions as well as promoting engagement opportunities more widely across the forums. I am also working on a generic dashboard for forum leaders to improve communication and make it easier to work collaboratively. We are continuing to experiment with different ways to improve the domain so please do reach out to me if you have any suggestions or feedback.

Please also take some time to explore our available roles and apply if you’re interested in joining our communities! We are also looking for new team members to join our Needs Reply Team, you can contact either myself or @bookworm274 if this is something you are interested in. Here’s to another fantastic month 🤠

Rebekah - SPOT and Safety Patrol

Hi, everyone! 🌞 Happy spooky season! Not much from me - this month has been impeccably slow and quiet for our safety teams (yes, this is a hint that you should join the SP team or SPOT! Please click the respective team names to learn more about them). We are always looking for new team members and leaders, so please feel free to get involved - if you have any questions about either the Safety Patrol team or SPOT, send me a message! ⭐

Chevy - Listener Coaching Team

Greetings, community! I hope everything is being kind to you.

I'd like to share what the Listener Coaching Team has been working on these past few months.

Since the beginning of this quarter, the listener coaches have taken more than 275 coaching requests. Everyone's enthusiasm to learn, grow, and improve is so inspiring and admirable. Shoutouts to every listener who's connected with a listener coach; please join us in applauding them on this post.

Also, let's appreciate our listener coaches by cheering them on for their continuing contribution of support here on this post.

In early September, @niamh333 completed her training and graduated to be our newest listener coach! It's so good to have you on the team, Niamh. Please go here to congratulate her and wish her well in this role.

We need your help to spread the word about the team so that more listeners are aware of the benefits of connecting with a listener coach. If you're interested in helping with this, it'd be greatly appreciated and literally cheered on! (Yes, Cheers will be rewarded to you.) Please check this post for more details.

We are looking for a Mentor/Teen Star Leader for the Listener Coaching Team to help support our team. If you feel like this is a role that suits you, please check the criteria in this application form.

You're welcome to privately message me (Chevy81) or Lily (@kindheartedLily) regarding to the team 🤗💛

Harsvin - Active Listening Grading Team

Hi everyone I hope you are doing well , we have made great progress in leadership for the AL team by announcing our team's very first Team leader - @positivePumpkin22 and Co leader leader - @Comphi. They are doing an excellent job in their respective role, please click here to congratulate them.

We have On Boarded a new trainee grader for AL 2 Team @azuladragon34 who is currently under their training phase, and we have a new grader for AL 1 Team @heathermarie95, they did a great job on successfully completing their training phase and is officially a part of AL 1 grading team! They are also doing great as a PA for the team and have been consistently spreading awareness of the AL tests. The team has graded 584 tests for the last quarter, a huge shout out to all our amazing graders for their consistent efforts on grading the tests timely and providing feedback to improve listener's quality.

We are currently focusing on spreading awareness of the Active Listening Tests, if you would like to apply to be PA (Project Agent) for the AL team please click here

to send in your application.

Jenna - Peer Support - Active Listening 1

Peer support has been slow this month of September which is normal this time of year with people going back to school. This month we combined Peer support, Chat support, and Moderator request forms all into one to help ease access for all involved in those projects and those who need support. It’s been working out great. We brought on a new co-lead for Peer Support team who will be focused on the teen side!

My October goals for the Peer Support team will be more outreach, getting the new co-lead onboarded, finishing up the peer support quizzes, and creating a form for Peer Support feedback to hear how the listening community feels their peer support session went and how they feel the team is doing overall. For more information about the team and how you can apply you can read all about that here.

Active Listening 1 has been doing wonderful. The team is dedicated and hardworking. We have not fallen behind on any grading for months now. They have been doing great with contacting those who didn’t pass and relaying appropriate feedback. I really appreciate all the hardwork they are doing.

soulsings - Co CML of Therapy Community Teen Transition Mentor Discussion host

Working with Lisa the director of therapy at 7 Cups, the THerapy Community Leaders are working to build the Therapy Community and encourage members to take advantage of the great opportunity at 7 Cups to have unlimited access to messaging your therapist 24/7 as a paid option. We do 5 new threads each week on the leader side and therapists also participate in posting in the forums.  In September we did our second discussion that was well received and we plan to continue doing discussions on a regular basis. The community has grown a lot in the last few years and we continue to find ways to reach out to members so they can be active in the community.

Mindfulness and Fifty Plus offer 5 discussions per week and 2 open chats to give the 7 Cups community supportive support groups on all 5 week days.

SirenOfSerenity and EmmaE - Listener Chatroom Ambassadors (Listener Community Discussions Team)

Hello Listener Community! I hope that September has been a great experience in your Listener journey thus far.

Three of our team's main focuses have been around simplifying our host training, our weekly Listener Journey Check In forum events, and increasing the amount of Listener Learning Threads created for the community!

For our Adult Listener Learning Discussions for September, a total of 15 Listener Discussions were lead by our hosts @Mari228 @melonmeloncholy @DisLifeNot @ChaoticListener and @beck1 🌟 A huge thank you to these hosts for consistently leading their Listener Discussions monthly, October's sessions can be found here for Adults. Hosts @GoldenRuleJG @Waterfallsofnature36 and @richuyulin also took the time to host pop up sessions, thank you!

Another huge thank you to our Teen hosts @WishfulWillow6962 and @kenzolena for hosting fun Listener Events and a Listener Learning Discussion for Teenie Town 🌟

Lastly, we've also had our marvelous hosts @FrenchMarbles host a total of 3 Adult Listener Welcome Sessions for September and @TabbyCat97 hosting 2 Teen Town Listener Welcome Sessions! You can catch October's Listener Welcome Sessions (here) The LCD Team aims to contribute not only improved and more frequent Listener Learning Discussions, but also Listener content varying from managing certain chat scenarios (here's an example) to handling chats that don't go well (another example found here). Our goal for our sessions and content is to help Listeners navigate certain scenarios in their journey, and to have a space to share and learn from their peers. We always want our fellow Listeners to feel supported and heard.

Interested in becoming a Discussion Leader? Read more here to learn about all of our hosting opportunities 🌟  Interested in creating or improving Listener learning content? Consider Listener Chatroom Project Agent role for LCD here 🌟

@Heather225 I'm very glad you have started this series. The ambassadors do great, strategic, and smart work that moves things forward, but much of it happens behind the scenes. This surfaces the strong work being done!

@Suryansh way to bring on all the new leadership, especially in the teen space. I love seeing the structure here and the robust team.

@Yourbuddy30, congrats on a great first month! Those courses are great for the individuals. Time management is a core skill and it is tough to learn. And Community building is core to what we do!

@Clarisse29, congrats to you too on a great first month! Wonderful to see more leaders coming on board to help with content. Content is key b/c information is the primary way we grow and communicate on 7 Cups. The weekly prompts are effective and community building at the same time. Nice work on certs too!

@DreamTouch, thank you for the thoughtful guidance on the leadership program. Like with time management, this is another area where it is hard to find real professional development opportunities, but it is core to life. We all need strong leaders and this is especially so on 7 Cups. Thanks for helping us grow this core strength!

@Tommy, I see you everywhere in the forums. You have canvassed the space, learned where we need to grow, and are deliberately strengthening things across the board. I see your name mentioned by other community members quite a bit. We all appreciate the smart and deliberate effort here!

@Rebekah, way to keep things moving with SPOT! We see that you consistently move things forward and continue to enjoy life along the way (no bee emoji so imagine one here!)

@Chevy, love the way you are lifting up the coaches and the listeners that have participated in coaching. We all need coaching! This is a great program here and wonderful to see so many listeners participating in the program.

@Harsvin, 584! That is a lot of tests. AL is one very important way we can all up our listening game as individuals and collectively as a community. Thank you for this important work here and for celebrating the leaders that are working alongside you.

@Jenna, thank you for the excellent work in the peer support department. I hear about your efforts in the support rooms and how you help listeners grow. Thank you for helping our listeners feel safe and know that it is good to lean on one another (lean on me....when your not strong...we all need somebody to lean on [peer support reminds me of that song; much of what we do on 7 cups reminds me of that song).

@soulsings, thank you for your careful shepherding of these communities. Lots of wisdom to be found in the posts and in your leadership. I am often encouraged by your comments and posts that highlight the underlying simplicity of most things.

@SirenofSerenity and @EmmaE, thank you for being so welcoming and creating a strong environment for learning and conversation. Group discussions matter a lot because they scale learning and community development. We don't have to learn alone, but can instead learn through conversation - much easier and much more fun.

Hats off to you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart for being pillars of our community 🙏

Thank you for such a detailed account of the ongoing work in your teams!

It's inspiring and stimulating to know with some detail about the important work that's going on all the time in teams across Cups.

Putting it all together it's like hearing the loud buzz of hard-working bees in a big  hive. Producing honey and all kind of healthy things.

Work done by volunteers who commit much time and effort with contagious enthusiasm, joy and love for their specific mission and contribution to the whole Community.

To make every day 7 Cups more supportive for Members, safer, improving Listener's skills, and taking care of their wellbeing on the job.

Thanks a ton, and congratulations to you all and to the teams you lead!
