I believe mindfulness is very important like understanding your emotions and the ability to calm yourself.

@soulsings sign language. I believe everyone before leaving school should know the basics of driving and have passed their theory tests. 🤔🤔🤔 I think that's it 😁❤

How to make a friend. How to cook a balanced meal. How to do laundry. How to do the dishes. How to create and maintain an exercise routine. How to take proper care of their skin and hair. How to sew. How to use critical thinking skills when given information.
How to recognize abuse, know their boundaries and how to enforce them, know when consent is being violated, know how to regulate emotions, know how to build community, know the basics of growing and preserving food and building shelter and purifying water (given the unaffordability of the necessities of live), how to deal with violent repression and their rights being stripped away, how to organize in the hopes they might be safe and have somewhere safe to sleep through the night.

There are many things. The ability to use money properly on the right things. The ability to seek support from an elderly in case there is some difficult situation that the teen or young adult is going through.

I believe every young person should learn practical money budgeting and the value of having good credit scores for future big purchases like a car, which will give them something they need.

Cooking. It saves money and allows you greater control over what you eat.

Good manners might be a conservative idea, but they help you in a lot of social situations. I have read books published long ago and a lot of the advice, I found, still works today.
I lived in Japan in my early 20s and my (good) education got a major redo when I noticed that people always helped each other in small ways. Are you washing your hands? Here's the towel. Hold that door for the person behind you. Notice that person going downstairs with a stroller. Your brother started vacuuming? Move the furniture for him. Do it also if it is paid help working.
Don't be afraid to learn something else.
Do your fact checking instead of adopting rumours and spreading them.
Do not mock people for ANY reason.

Practical skills… wow there is so many. how to wire a plug,
Brown (BR, bottom right)
Blue (BL, bottom left)
whatever is left (earth) top!
Second practical, start a fire!
Start with Kindling, buried under starter wood again buried buy logs.
theses skills may not be necessary in dad to day life but once mastered the confidence it may provide in your ability, and reserve knowledge helps! Grow on the knowledge !
