I am VERY excited to announce this new event! Member Welcome Parties!!! Wooohoooo!
We know being a newbie at 7 Cups is hard. Taking the first few steps to get support, talk about something on your mind or share an experience is challenging. So we want to honor you for taking that first step to getting help, joining a community and bettering your life. New listeners - this is for you too! Taking your first chats, making your first forum posts... this is hard wrok! We are so proud of all of you and we want to formally welcome you to 7 Cups!
Don't worry, we know everyone likes to party... so while we will be honoring newbies, everyone is invited to join in and help!
This event will work much like a High Five Live! @kate & I will open the Live chatrooms and hop on a live video call with you!
During this event, we will welcome and honor all new members who wish to be formally welcomed! And we will highlight the accomplishments of newbies!!

I love this idea, great job. :) It is hard to be a newbie and I bet this will really help our new members connect with the community and feel as special as we know they are!
@Laura - I'm confused...why isn't this in our Newbie Hub, where we want our newbies to go to see resources and learn more about the community? Isn't that where we should be welcoming people - we have a subforum just for it here! Or in our Join Date Animal clubs...this feels confusing and duplicates what we have in several areas already!

@Kate hi, im very sorry this is random. Im brand new here, and im trying to find a listener to chat with aboit weight management/counting calories. I spoke with someone yesterday for a bit, but had to go, and now i cannot figure out how to get another listener. I tried to get noni to help, but he is being an a-hole, ignoring me, and wont stop sending me pics. Yeah i know its just a bot lol. Can you explain how i can speak with someone now?

You can browse for listeners to find which would be the best suit for you on our Browse Listeners page. If you'd like, you can search by category by clicking on 'more filters', then 'topic' and choosing whichever suits you, then click 'search' to load the right page!
If you'd like to connect with a listener more immediately, you can go to your Member page (which can also be accessed by clicking on the cup at the top left of your screen) and then click 'Live chat with a free listener'. That'll connect you with Noni asking what kind of topic you're seeking help with, and when a listener is free you'll be connected with them.
