I have helped and am helping people cope with loss, divorce, anguish and parenting. Depression is also a major issue that comes up.

I am sorry to hear about your child. Custody battles are tough and can take a lot of time and energy from you. I know it is hard not to see your child as you love him/her. But be strong for them. When the time comes they will want to see you doing well in your life. No child stays away from their parent forever.

Set your focus on becoming the best parent possible for your child(ren). They still need you, so work on yourself and your relationship with them. Never give up.
