Because maybe, there's no one you're talking to and you're waiting for someone to realize. You need someone to realize, and give you attention. Maybe your going through some rough times and need someone to help you because you can't do this alone, and you know no better idea than getting some attention that way. But there's others ways to do it. You can about it with someone, and they can help you. And if they can't, they'll find someome to help you. Because no one should go through a fight alone

Often times we are filled with negative thoughts and images of potential judgment from others. I remember thinking that other people at my school looked down on me for how "different" I was, in so many ways, including my scars. It took me a long time to discover that the judgment (or even perceived judgment, in my case) of others was no match for me on my journey. Whatever you may be struggling with, self harm included, do not slip into the belief that others may push on you that you're only seeking attention. Disorders are like any other condition, and require treatement, not stigma.
