** The weather has been milder... with still a chill in the air at the moment, and more sunshine. Managed to get out for brief walks with the furbaby over the past week.
** No plans for the day, or the weekend.... Going to go visit my parents house for the day and catch up.
@PoliteOcean hii
@HopieRemi hi!
@nordurnStar hey! I hope you're doing well
@HopieRemi
Hi Remi
Hey @politeocean
@PoliteOcean
️How has your week gone?
Pretty good thanks ! I studied quite a lot 📖 I have been stressed at times but it's okay !
❄️ This is the Last Check-in for the Month of February~ How do you feel the month has gone for you in terms of any personal goals for yourself?.. How would you 'Sum' up your month?
- I've made a lot of progress, in my PTSD-healing journey, including going to a coffee shop, which was impossible for me a few months ago.
- I also got closer to my pet which was a goal since several months, she is much less afraid of me.
- I was more creative this month then the past ones, crafting and drawing.
- I had some new beautiful furniture in my bedroom.
-
I tried to be more mindful & to do more things in general. Also to let go of perfection pressure.
❄️What is something positive that you've done for each area of your Life this week, (Physical, Mental, Emotional)? How did it make you feel?
- Physical : 2 walks + some little workouts. It was not pleasant but I felt proud afterwards.
-
Mental/Emotional : buying and received a hot water bottle 🦉 It's shaped like an owl ! It is soothing.
❄️ What was your most Favorite part of 7cups this past week?
Chats with listeners and forums ❤️
❄️What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this past week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
Menstruations were a struggle... I tried mindfulness, taking showers, using the hot water bottle, and chatting cups... It helped a little but I still need to figure out a better routine for those moments.
❄️What would "YOU" Like to talk about or share with us this week?! WE want to hear from YOU!
This new week I would like to keep studying as I did last week, I would like to eat healthier and do some exercise, I would also like to be more mindful and peaceful 🌀
& I want some joy and music and laughter ! That's the more important right ?
Thank you for reading 🥺
@butterlycow
Hey there... Despite that things were stressing for you, its really good that you were able to work on yourself and make some progress in your Healing Journey with PTSD. Taking small steps of progress can surely over time add up to bigger ones. And doing the simple things that were once problematic can certainly make you feel good. And you have quite an amazing and detailed list there for yourself.
Also being able to do good things for our overall wellbeing physically, mentally & emotionally can make us feel great as a "whole". Great job to you on being able to get in some activity/workouts and movement. And taking care of yourself by buying something that you enjoy and that soothes you. Keep up the great work that you are doing.
Hopefully, you will find something that works just as well for you during your times of the month that will help them not be such a struggle for you.
I think its great that you are looking at your week ahead and wanting to make and create those goals for yourself. And those are alot of awesome goals there. Especially being able to be more mindful, peaceful, and wanting some joy and laughter. To me, Those are definitely the more important for sure.
Thank you for checking in. That was a really great and positive check-in for you this week. Please continue to let us know how you are doing and how you are moving ahead in your goals.
@PoliteOcean thank you very much ❤️
@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Monday I went grocery shopping but not for a walk because it was too cold out. Tuesday I had EMDR. We did a lot of processing trauma but I didn't feel any better. Wednesday I went to acupuncture and also for a walk. Friday I had an appointment with my psychiatrist. She recommended psycho-dynamic therapy but I can't afford that right now. There were no changes to my medication so it was just a routine follow-up. Friday I went for a walk. Saturday I went for a walk through my creepy neighborhood. I'm studying the book of I Samuel for my devotional time. The disability chat room is very supportive. I'm listening to worship music for 15 minutes before I go to bed. For this upcoming week I'm going grocery shopping on Monday, acupuncture on Wednesday and maybe a blood test on Friday.
@Regmo
Hey Regmo... thats great that you are continuing to keep up with your appointments...as well as getting out for your walks and continuing to keep up with your activity. You are certainly getting alot of it in, and seem to be making alot of progress for yourself there. I have never heard of the psycho-dynamic therapy, but am going to look it up to see what its about and read up on it. As far as your EMDR, from my understanding of it, it seems like its a challenging therapy, and that one could actually feel much worse before they start to feel better. I've been told by professionals that its something a person really needs to be ready to do for themselves because it can be a struggle. Hopefully its something that will continue to get better for you over time as you continue with on with it. Its good that you are continuing to keep up and make time for your devotional time. And that you are continuing to find the support you need in the disability chat room. Continue to keep up the great work that you are doing working on yourself. I know its not always easy. But you are making alot of great steps and improvements. Thanks for checking in this week, and continuing to share how you things are going for you.
🥞 How has your week gone?
Oh it's been very busy and still is, but during the weekends it's a very different kind of work because there aren't meetings, just solo work.
🥞 This is the Last Check-in for the Month of February~ How do you feel the month has gone for you in terms of any personal goals for yourself?.. How would you 'Sum' up your month?
My husband is very attentive about Valentine's day and today's celebration was pancakes and vanilla milk (this is a custom where he is from) so mostly when I think back to this month I think of our celebrations, how busy we have both been at work, and the odd weather here.
In terms of personal goals, I have a few large deadlines next month that feel unfinished right now which is hard, but I am making progress according to the timelines I have set, so I will wait until the end of next month to make judgements on how I do.
🥞 What is something positive that you've done for each area of your Life this week, (Physical, Mental, Emotional)? How did it make you feel?
Physical: I worked out every day as planned. I enjoy the workout schedule I have for myself, though being unable to do certain sets because of my injury is frustrating.
Mental: I have been pushing myself to make progress on large things every day instead of ending up at deadlines full of dread. This feels okay right now, and at the end of this work period I will evaluate how it went.
Emotional: I have been letting myself be more generous with my loved ones. A hard past means I do not allow very much before I try to distance myself from those that might fail.
@nordurnStar
Hey Star,
Sometimes busy can be good depending on the situation.....
How nice that things went well for you are your husband with your Valentines Day this year despite the business of past years.
Hopefully you will be able to get all your deadlines taken care of. And meet your personal goals. But its good for you that you feel you are making progress with things in comparison to your own set timelines.
It seems like you have done alot of great work in each area of your Overall wellbeing, physically mentally and emotionally. Between setting and succeeding at your workout schedules, making progress on larger things, and allowing more generosity in yourself. Keep up the great work that you are doing with those things, and staying well-rounded in each area of your life.
Thank you for checking in this week, and keeping us up to date on how things are continuing to go for you.
@PoliteOcean ☺️☺️
@PoliteOcean
❄️How has your week gone?
still a roller coaster, but i guess it’s same same different XD
❄️ This is the Last Check-in for the Month of February~ How do you feel the month has gone for you in terms of any personal goals for yourself?.. How would you 'Sum' up your month?
I actually went on a big walk (and nearly had a low level asthma attack and nearly threw up on my neighbours grass when i was returning home) 😀 my month is just meh, I’m currently surviving not living. Sometimes, i just have to take it easy 😮
❄️What is something positive that you've done for each area of your Life this week, (Physical, Mental, Emotional)? How did it make you feel?
I actually reached out to a helpline a few times to just talk about my mental health and the side issues feeding into why it’s not very great at the moment 😮 And i guess i just needed that little extra bit of help as i now feel a bit more at ease 😮
❄️ What was your most Favorite part of 7cups this past week?
Pms and Tcr (i love annoying tcr 👿)
❄️What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this past week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
Highlights: I went to a family friend’s 60th birthday yesterday (it may be their last ever birthday as they have terminal cancer) and i was somewhat social and i had a good time (:
Struggles: honestly i am scared about the current situation in Ukraine, and my mind hasn’t made this week easy neither, it’s not fun spiralling straight into a flashback that i acted out 😞😞
❄️What would "YOU" Like to talk about or share with us this week?! WE want to hear from YOU!
@emotionalTalker2260
Hey Emo,
Roller coasters tend to be just that.... a crazy ride.
Sorry to hear that you had some asthma trouble... but its good that it was a low level attack for you. Despite what happened, its good that you were able to get in some activity, and "didn't" throw up when returning home. ...... I know how challenging it must be to feel like you are only surviving instead of thriving and actually living. But, it sounds like you did the right thing for yourself by taking it easy when you need to.
Helplines can be a really great extra support system. Of course it can all depend on who you get to talk to. Some helpers can be better and more supportive than others. I think its great that you have that option available to you when you need it. And that you felt more at ease after doing so.
I think its really nice that you were able to help celebrate a family friends birthday.. And that you were able to be social... I'm sure it made them feel special. And so sorry to hear about their situation. That must be difficult for them for sure.
I know the current situation in the Ukraine seems to have many feeling a lot of negative thoughts and emotions at this time.... and your right, its not fun spiraling regardless of the situation. Especially if our minds are unable to focus well. Hopefully you will continue to follow up with the helpline as needed or if needed , and also reach out to listeners here too if needed as well. And that it continues to help and improve the way you are feeling. Even if for the moment.
Thanks for checking in this week, and letting everyone know how you've been doing and how things are continuing to go.
@PoliteOcean
😮 i am glad I actually reached out to a helpline as it has helped a bit. And i know there is listeners XD 😀 but yeah, hopefully i have a better week next week. And honestly the war is pretty scary 😟 I just hope it doesn’t escalate to extreme proportions. 😊
@PoliteOcean
It has been a very chaotic month but I'm hanging on OK.
This month is all about adapting to change and growing to be more flexible and agile. I move to a new house, living in a new environment could be a bit scary but it is teaching me to be more flexible and agile.
One very good thing this month is that I've met several new good friends. I've had a few negative experiences with my old friend, a bit of a fall-out in the previous months. So making new friends still causes me worries and anxiety, but I'm trying to live in the present, not the past or the future.
@energeticWest1129 hi west! adapting to change can be a very uncomfortable feeling, in general stepping outside of our comfort zone or what is usual for us, such as moving to a new house! I hope that you are able to feel a little more comfort in your new home soon. super glad to hear about the new friends you've met after having negative experiences in the past. it seems like this is truly a time of transformation and growth for you - which is always one step before great things happen. growth always leads to amazing things. hope you have a lovely week ahead!
@PoliteOcean
hello ! <3
- my week has gone alright so far ! <3 thank you very much for asking haha
- in terms of personal goals for myself, i feel that i was able to achieve many of those goals and i am very proud of myself ! my month was a bit of a roller-coaster, but i had so many successes :)
- physically, i have participated in the yoga exercises we have to do during dance class haha. they have really helped me to improve my flexibility and to just relax :) mentally, i have reminded myself that i am so worthy of love. emotionally, i did things that would make me happy such as getting some extra sleep if needed (i took a day of from school for that and it felt great !) all of these things made me feel amazing
- my most favorite part of 7 cups was being able to support other groups, programs, and teams on the site through participation :) i'm so happy i could lend a land
- my highlights this past week were keeping my head up high ! and the struggles were the tough times that made it hard to do so haha. i was able to work through this, though, by reminding myself that things were gonna be okay <3
- i hope you all have an amazing week <3
@rrretsuko hello! I am super glad to hear that you were able to achieve many goals you have set for yourself and can agree that you can definitely be proud of yourself!! way to go!!! ❤️
yoga classes are amazing (I love yoga myself) so that is great that you've discovered that for yourself as a way to relax and increase your flexibility. it sounds so amazing that you have been reminding yourself of your worth and took care of yourself by getting some more sleep. you are doing amazing and worthy of living a lifestyle that makes you feel this great! I really feel like once we stop making life harder for ourselves and notice how we deserve to take care of ourselves (by ex. sleeping more or doing what makes us feel good) one can really notice a positive shift!
thank you very much for checking in with us. hope you have a lovely week ahead.

❄️ This is the Last Check-in for the Month of February~ How do you feel the month has gone for you in terms of any personal goals for yourself?.. How would you 'Sum' up your month?
❄️What is something positive that you've done for each area of your Life this week, (Physical, Mental, Emotional)? How did it make you feel?
❄️ What was your most Favorite part of 7cups this past week?
My favorite part of 7 cups is all the support I have been given.
❄️What were your "Highlights Or Struggles" this past week?... How were you able to work through your challenges?!
I was struggling with my identity. I identify myself differently. I now identify myself as non-binary. I have come out to my family and my friends.
❄️What would "YOU" Like to talk about or share with us this week?! WE want to hear from YOU!
I want to thank all my friends on 7 cups. @help127 is an awesome friend and peer. They have helped me through many of my struggles. @wooof has been with me since the start of my 7 cups journey. Wooof has helped build up my confidence. I also want to thank @communitymodaaron and @communitymodelliot. they have been awesome mentors and friends. I can't possibly mention everyone who has helped me as the list is very long. I am grateful for everyone here and consider all of you family and if you ever need to talk i am always willing to listen.
@rommebai000 aww! thank you for being an awesome friend as well!!
@rommebai000 first of all I am wishing you the best of luck with coming out to your parents as non-binary. I think this is a great, very brave step, and I am happy you are feeling more in tune with your identity as non-binary. I hope all goes well for you, let us know if we can support you in any way during this process. and lastly, super glad to hear about all the support you have received here on 7cups and its very thoughtful of you to give all those people a little shoutout - thank you for sharing!
