Now, we head into May. This is a monumental month for our community as we observe Mental Health Awareness Month (MHAM), alongside Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) Awareness Month and Maternal Mental Health Month.
Your voices drive this community. This month, we are inviting you to lead the conversation to help us challenge stigmas and share real experiences.
👇 How You Can Join the May Campaign:
Challenge 1: The "You Are Not Alone" Chain: Tag someone who has supported your mental health. Share one positive self-care tip you use on tough days. Then, they have to do the same!
Challenge 2: The "Hidden Strengths" Showcase: We all have mental health, and navigating life's ups and downs builds resilience. Reply in the thread with one unexpected strength your journey has given you.
Challenge 3: Create Your Own Content! (Community Takeover) We want you to write a post or host a discussion focused on our May themes. Here are some suggestions!
- For MHAM: Write a short post about "My Mental Health Experience," or host a group chat discussion on building a self-care toolkit.
- For BPD Awareness: Write a post debunking BPD stereotypes, or share a guide on how to empathetically support a loved one with BPD.
- For Maternal Mental Health: Share a post about the realities of navigating mental health as a parent, or host a supportive listening circle for mothers.
If you want to tackle Challenge 3:
- Make your post, share the link here in the replies, and I will feature it here in this masterpost!
- If you’d like to host an event in the rooms, send a PM to @Suryansh, our Groups Ambassador!
- For listener-related/support events, you can PM me (Heather225) and I’ll help ya set it up!
Reward: If you participate in Challenge 3 by writing an original post or hosting an event, you will earn the MH Awareness Month badge!

We challenge stigmas best when we stand together. Thank you for being here, for raising your voices, and for driving our shared mission: ensuring no one has to face their struggles alone. Happy Mental Health Awareness Month!

That really means a lot to me 😊, I’m just trying to express things I usually keep inside, and I’m glad it can help others feel a little less alone too <3

Challenge 3, I am going to ask Suryansh about hosting a self-care group chat. It's one of my favorite subjects! Self care matters! :)
Okay so I got this a bit backwards :P I posted in both challenges, challenge 3 I posted here :P I'm still asking to do the self-care toolkit chat though! :)
@TovaCares76 I'm happy to have read your post about sharing your journey. You're inspiring! Bravo. 👏
Thank you so much, and thank you for reading it!
Can listeners participate in this too?
@SmoothOpertor55 I'm a listener and I participated sharing my story, so listeners can definitely take part in this. 😀 Pick from the challenges above that you feel comfortable with and just go with it. 😀 Challenge #3 participation earns you a new badge. Happy Mental Health Awareness Month! ⭐️
Thanks a lot @YourCaringConfident.
It's just that one time I posted a poetry about my life and the community declined it saying that listeners can post about themselves that's why I was a bit confused.
@SmoothOpertor55 Ohhhhh, that makes sense why you asked then. There's definitely a boundary when it comes to what we as listeners can share on our listener account. For like super deep stuff, sharing and posting from a member account is best. Perhaps that's why your poem was declined. I don't know. I am just a regular listener here and being Desiree is all I know how to be. I personally am very transparent and open about my mental health struggles but I wouldn't go posting all my deep stuff from my listener account. Just use discretion. Listeners and members both should definitely feel like this is a safe place to share. If you want to participate, just ask yourself do you think it's ok to do so from this account or would it be best you do so from your member account. 😀 Hope this helps. ❤️
