🔌Help Us Build the Ultimate No Screens Activity List!
Hi everyone! We all need a break from screens. Not just to rest our eyes, but to reconnect with ourselves, our surroundings, and the present moment. Our life is too tied to screens these days, to the point where we have forgotten how to exist for a second without them.
So here’s what we’re doing:
We’re creating a community-powered checklist of things you can do that require zero screen time. No phones. No laptops. No tablets. Just life, unfiltered.
Here are some example no-screen activities
🌿 Go for a walk
🖊 Journal your thoughts
📖 Read a physical book
🧩 Do a puzzle
🧹 Clean or organize a space
🕯 Sit in stillness with no agenda
Now it’s your turn.
List down at least 1 non screen activity (try to not recommend what is already covered by someone else) You can give as many ideas as you like!
Drop your idea in the comments and help us grow the Unplug Checklist, something we can all come back to when we need to power down!

Sooo needed in today's time! 💛
I'll share a simple one that requires almost nothing xD basically just lay on your bed and stare at the ceiling! My favorite "do nothing" activity!
Oorrrr close eyes and imagine something peaceful and nice.
Orrr meditate!
Oooorrr drift off to sleep! 😴

Ooooh and if its feasible, can do this lay flat and do nothing activity outdoors too, like lay on grass (of course you can lay on a mat as well lol), and stare at the sky!
Mhmmm to make it 10x fun, try this Cloud-shape-imagining activity! The clouds often come together forming pretty shapes, just need our imagination to make them come "alive". 🥰
I love this discussion!
These are a few of my ideas:
🪻 Press & preserve wildflowers: Head outside, pick a few blooms (responsibly!), press them between heavy books, and start a little nature scrapbook.
📬 Write a handwritten letter: Grab some stationery and send a surprise note or postcard to a friend or family member.
🥖 Bake bread from scratch: Knead the dough by hand, let it rise, and enjoy the amazing smell that fills your home.
✨ Stargaze at night: Lay on a blanket, identify constellations, and make up your own stories about the stars.
🪴 Repot or propagate a houseplant: Give an existing plant a bigger home or start new cuttings in water and watch them root.
🗣️ Have a good old-fashioned chat with a friend: Meet up in person or call (no video) and catch up, share stories, or take a walk together while you talk.
Love this idea, @Hope! 🌼 It's so needed these days. One of my favorite no-screen activities is playing with my pet, whether it’s a tug-of-war session with my dog or just quietly brushing my cat, it's such a grounding way to reconnect and be present. Animals really remind us how to just be. 🐾
Another one: handwriting a letter or postcard to someone you care about. It feels special in a way digital messages just can’t match 💌
Can’t wait to see what everyone else adds!
@Hope sing.
Spending time in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Making your own ice cream.
Making your own pizza.
Having a picnic.
Hiking.
Star gazing.
Camping.
Writing.
Painting stones and leaving positive messages on them and leaving them in random places for people to find.
Going on a scavenger hunt.
Collecting flowers.
@Amanda84
I love the idea of leaving random stones with positive messages. I'm going to pinch that one.
@Clio9876 no worries 🥰

What a great idea! Here are my suggestions:
🎷Play an instrument: Our home has 4 ukuleles, but I haven't played one in a couple years. This is a good reminder!!
🎵Listen to music: I often wax poetic about the days when I would put a CD in my walkman and just lay on the bed and engulf myself in the music.
I need to do both of these things more!!!
@Hope
Watch the sunrise💖
@Tinywhisper11
I should do that tomorrow, thanks for the idea! 🩵

@7Bear7 I'll do it to💖 later on this morning 😁💖
@Tinywhisper11
That's great! How does it look from there? Let me know! 🩵
@7Bear7 it's 1:26am sunrise is around 4:30 its my favourite thing to do💖 I'll let you know 💗
@Tinywhisper11
Sounds good! It's 7:37p.m. and sun rise is 6:50 so I set a alarm to get up then! :3 I can't wait to hear how it look for you today! 🩵
@7Bear7 I got the time wrong sunrise was around 5:15am. It's pretty chilly so I'm back indoors now💖 it was also cloudy🙁 but the sun is already starting to burn through the clouds, it's nice when you see the darkness disapear, and hear the birdies wake up💖 I hope your sunrise is a beautiful one 💖
@Tinywhisper11
Awww, I sorry you got the ime wrong and went in the cold. It's definitely cool to hear the birds start chirping! God made a beautiful world! ❤️
My sunrise was super foggy and cloudy, so it just got brighter and brighter without seeing the sun. But it was still neat! Thanks for the suggestion, Tiny! :3 🩵
@7Bear7 I didn't go out and sit in the cold, my carers told me 😁💖 sorry you didn't see the best sunrise, but there's something beautiful and peaceful just being out side at that time of day 💖
@Tinywhisper11
It's okay! I am glad you weren't out in the cold! ❄️ It's not good for ya. :3 there is definitely something peaceful about that time of day yah. 🩵
