@amiablePeace77 the most courageous thing I did in life was when I was struggling deeply with depression, I never gave up on myself. If I only took one step a day I congratulated myself. If I only made it through another day I saw that as a victory. I never stopped trying and eventually it started to pay off.
@soulsings
I am so glad you made it through and are here with us all soul. You're in inspiration! Even taking one step at a time can be very hard to do when suffering from depression.
@amiablePeace77 thanks for your kind words
Escape the abusive household I grew up in.
@Zeraphim
You became your own hero! 💙
@amiablePeace77 If it wasn't for the help of others, I wouldn't be here to tell the tale.
I think the most courageous thing I've ever done is when I left a 20 year marriage where I was completely set financially and did not have to work. I had gotten married and pregnant at 19 years old... and 20 years later, after raising 3 kids, I felt like I was dying because I was being controlled and I didn't have any freedom To try new things and discover myself. It's been 9 years since then and as hard as it's been it's absolutely been worth it.
Sing for the Mass at my father’s funeral
@bestLime1587
I believe your father would have been so proud of you!
Awww thank you, your kindness touched me. I believe so as well.
@amiablePeace77
Iʻve lived through amazing and not so happy things. I lived through one thing that I canʻt talk about. I also flew a plane solo for the first time. Iʻve left abusive people behind. My life has been a roller coaster.
@purpleTree4652
Time to slow down the rollercoaster and enjoy a smooth ride! 💙
@amiablePeace77
If only I could. Life seems happy to throw me curve balls.

For me it working on my self - esteem, self worth and negativity I have of myself. Each day morning and night i do a deep cleaning of meditation and mindfulness. Each day doing yoga and zen to have a more calmer aspect in life although it has taken my 60 years to see this at least for the rest of my life I can peacefully accept who I am and begin to love myself more.
@pamharley003 sounds like you have a lot of self care work. Way to go.
@amiablePeace77
Honestly? Deciding to live my life with purpose.
I could easily do nothing and just enjoy happiness. In a way, I've earned that. But I refuse to let my experiences go to waste. I want to contribute in a meaningful way, and one way to do that is to connect with and understand each other so that we may master the self.
@cyanessence benefiting others has helped me reduce the amount of personal suffering I experience. Thank you for sharing your perspective.
I heard somewhere that calling for help was the bravest thing to do.
However, there were times when it just wasn't there: Confronting a university teacher in order to get my Master's diploma; Managing a frightened horse so he and I would not get wounded or worse; Holding on to a secret for a Xmas gift for my husband - two days of reproof and yelling about having possibly bought something too costly for the kids.
It takes courage sometimes to get what you want or need. I've given up a few times too.
@amiablePeace77
I will have to look back and introspect! Will hear what others have to say💓
