Extremely frustrated with my partners job making her work well past the time she should

...See more I am so incredibly frustrated right now and I need a place to vent and get that frustration out. My partner works as an engineer and recently got a new job as of 2 months ago. She’s supposed to work 8:30am - 4:30pm. But they’re piling massive loads of responsibilities on her and projects to be completed when she’s still actually only in her probationary period of 3 months. She’s doing the level and amount of work the managers and superiors do. Sometimes she stays hours past that end time. Sometimes she takes online meetings late into the night. Sometimes she responds to emails in bed. And she knows this isn’t fair or right. Management sucks and she admits that. She’s seeing no extra pay for this either. It’s a salary job. It’s affecting our time together and creating hostility. I’m sitting here typing this waiting for her to finish doing her work so we can go to the concert we’ve had planned for months. It’s looking like we may miss it. I’m so angry I could cry. I guess I’m not looking for advice because there’s nothing to be done but I just needed to let off steam

Work stress

...See more I’m really struggling with work at the moment I landed myself an opportunity. During that time my cat passed away my childhood pet and also dropped a friendship and family stress. I’m struggling to fit in and I’ve been here for 1year almost . Ontop of that I feel like another team this girl would speak about me even though I can’t be sure it’s about me it does make me feel on edge. I feel like the relationship with my co workers is non existent even though they help Me if I’m in need of help I often find myself just asking for help other then a connection I know it’s work but sitting next to someone and not talking isn’t my ideal work environment . They have their click with each other. I find it hard to be myself but the job itself is good experience. I don’t know how to navigate through this work environment. I’m feeling unhappy and just drained and often just not so confident with myself when I first stayed I felt I was judged alot for my decisions even though I was trained doing it like that. It’s sad I feel alone but I know this job is not easy to find. What can I do .

...See more Does anyone have any experience getting out of the trap that is working for tips at a restaurant? IYKYK. I have other work experience and skills and education and lots going for me… but I’d have to take quite the pay cut for several years no matter which direction I go into next. Or so it seems. For those of you who have experienced something similar, how did you go about moving on and what was it like for you?

...See more * I have a job where I feel I don’t fit in. A year in and I question why aren’t I myself here. I feel lonely and also feel I’m a target for someone in another team as I catch them speaking about me but I can’t be sure. The job is right but the people aren’t .

...See more I've found myself at the odd spot of having to start over. My last job left me in burnout, lies and then fired me. All of a sudden I've ended up with multiple work offers all very good. I'm so proud of myself for allowing myself to start over. I feel very refreshed and renewed 🌻🙏🏻

School Stress College

...See more I’m so stressed out by my sophomore year of college. I’m doing history, which are my weakest subjects. And I’m so stressed out rn because my teachers aren’t allowing me to submit my assignments late saying my accommodation's aren’t retroactive. I need to pass these classes for sap so I can get financial aid next semester and I need to have sap so I can receive loans which I use to pay for my car repairs where it recently costs 4k and now another 1k as I wait for my refunds. Me going to school use to be easy peasy until I broke my car which caused the expensive repairs and btw you can’t get loans without sap, while door dashing essentially starting a job. Starting a job messed up my dopamine receptors that I can no longer focus and retain. Right now, especially with unmedicated adhd, and people don’t realize how hard it is to get medicated and how long have to wait. Heck I’ve had mental issues for 20 years now and I’m still unmedicated. They keep telling me oh I keep having breakdowns at school and in public, then they say I should easily get medicated, then I go to the hospital and they tell me that’s how’s the system works. Anyways I was saying I don’t retain the information like I usually do and tbh I use to like studying cause WELL it’s SO EASY and rewarding (well it use to be). My professors would let me submit things late because it wouldn’t really affect my grades anyways. Now they won’t and they know I’m struggling so bad in classes. At this point I’m convinced I have dyslexia but not diagnosed. My exam be tommrow morning and I’m studying but retaining information so I’d rather just watch my favorite streamer. Idk what to do guys… Help!

...See more I was thinking that if people like me who are just average and very often below average at performing tasks, if we were never born it wouldn't have made even a tiny difference in the world? I'm particularly asking for what worst could have happened if I was never born, except for my mom and dad, like every one in my life all my friends/seniors/colleagues would have found a better alternative of me, why does it matter if I exist or not? It wouldn't matter to anyone except for my mom and dad if I meet a fatal accident tommorow? I have worked hard for so many years, I studied 5 years of law school, did multiple internships across multiple cities, took courses, attended seminars, just to know at the end of the day that 76-80% of the work I do is just average and doesn't make any difference to the institution/senior I work for, I was a below average kid in academics despite studying day and night, I messed up my sleep schedule for life, coz of the constant examinations I gave throughout my academic career, I landed up in a decent office/chamber in a tier 1 city but then after an year of working I realise, that I am just there as a kind of formality, that the work I do is so average, full of errors and lack depth that 70-80% of my work doesn't actually make any difference, that people who joined the field at the same time as me are performing way better than me and have achieved a way lot than me and the funny part is this is the career I chose for myself, this is something I am and I have always been passionate about and now I get to know that I suck in this too, I thought I am bad at academics but I'll perform better at work but hey I suck at work too even after 1 year of *** slogging hard work and dedication, negligible leaves and forced attention for hours upto a point that I have lost my sanity to 24 hrs anxiety but all that for nothing, maybe I'll just remain average/below average despite my 100% efforts, at this point I just wish that all this ends for good

Need help holding down a job for good

...See more I’m reaching out because I’m feeling pretty hopeless about work and could really use some support or advice from people who understand. I’m 34, and I’ve had over 60 different jobs. I’m a hard worker and genuinely want to be able to hold down a job, but I struggle badly with performance anxiety and becoming overwhelmed—especially when my PMDD symptoms get severe. When the stress builds up, I can reach a point where I feel like I need to escape immediately. I’ve left jobs because I’m afraid I’ll become rude or reactive toward coworkers, completely shut down, or end up harming myself from the amount of distress I’m experiencing. Then afterward, I feel ashamed and discouraged because I’ve lost another job. I don’t want to keep repeating this cycle. I want to learn how to work through the overwhelm instead of immediately feeling like quitting is my only way out. If anyone has dealt with PMDD, severe work anxiety, difficulty maintaining employment, or something similar, I would really appreciate hearing what has helped you. I’d also be grateful for suggestions for supportive workplaces, part-time opportunities, resources, accommodations, coping strategies, or programs that might help someone in my situation. I’m not looking for judgment—I’m trying to find a way forward and build a more stable life. Thank you to anyone willing to share advice or support. ❤️

Feeling Hurt and Disappointed at Work
by healingSoul4934

...See more I have been feeling emotionally distressed because of what has been happening at work. I feel sad, hurt, and offended by certain situations and interactions, and I am struggling with the way I have been treated or how certain things have been handled. What I am experiencing does not feel like anxiety. I am not primarily worried or fearful about what might happen. Instead, I feel disappointed, hurt, frustrated, and emotionally exhausted. I feel that something about my work situation has affected my sense of appreciation, respect, or belonging. Because of these feelings, I have started thinking seriously about resigning. Part of me wants to leave because I no longer want to remain in an environment that is making me feel this way. At the same time, I recognize that I am currently making this decision while I am emotionally hurt, so I want to understand what I am actually feeling and whether I genuinely want to leave or whether I need time to process what happened first. The main issue is not simply that I am stressed from work. I feel emotionally hurt by the situation, and that hurt is making me question whether I still want to continue working there.

...See more I’m currently working as a CNA. It works for other oeople and they love this job but I don’t. I personally think it’s not for me, it’s physically and emotionally demanding. I applied for different jobs and this is the one who called me first so I accepted it and it pays good for students, however I always come home drained and crying. I wanna quit this job but I need a job so I can save money for my college. I’m trying to find another job but I couldn’t find any and no one’s calling me yet. I can’t decide if I should still stay or quit immediately because I’m always drained. Do you guys have any thoughts, opinions, tips, or advices? I really can’t decide, I really need to save money but I’m always drained because of this job.

...See more I'm a final year BTech CSE (Indian tier 3 college) student i did scattered and little prep according to me and yes maybe according to others as well like students who are prepared really good I think i should give it a shot genuinely to genuine prep you know for software roles but I don't know what will happen in the future right. I made mistakes, i feel that how will I clear the online assessments i haven't done much aptitude so that's there, u see people on reddit, LinkedIn say that even many prepared candidates get 3-5 lpa packages, many engineers are jobless etc etc it's like I've established so many fears in my mind before even really giving it a honest shot Hoping there's still a way to turn things around I've been told by teachers and seniors that get placed by Dec since from Jan onwards few companies come usually non tech so four months it is you see I know only i can help myself by being disciplined and improve my skills rather than wasting more time and energy on irrelevant stuff but still And top of it you can't share this with anyone so u hold it in Since people aren't busy with their own life
