Yes, myself and many others across the world have. Self help is all about exactly what it says on the tin, however such books contain ways to cope with anxiety. Anxiety is something that you learn to live with, but manage, therefore it isn't something that controls you anymore. The best thing to do is learn techniques, you can try as many as you like to find the right one for you, not each technique will work for everyone. Do plenty of research and testing out each method and use the ones that work best for you. There are many experienced psychologists and counsellors that have written books to share their knowledge.
