I am a gymnast but going to the gym everyday gives me horrible anxiety and it takes all of my will power just to hold it together. I love gymnastics but is it even worth it to keep going?

Going out in public with anxiety is a feat all on it's own. It's a testament to dedication to even want to pursue something like gymnastics with anxiety. I would definitely say it is worth it to keep going. Life is about overcoming our struggles and to me, it's about learning how to take the wheel back from your fears in the middle of a crisis. If there is something that you want to do with your life whether it's gymnastics or picking a risky major, you should do what YOU want to do with your life, not what anxiety tells you to do.

If it something you love, you shouldn't give up on it. Have you considered asking a friend to go with you, for moral support. Or listening to music can also help. Create your own personal playlist with music that can help you get motivated and relaxed. Before going to the gym and good breathing and stretching exercise can help to relax your muscles and stress. Eat a good breakfast. And look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that " I've got this, I can do it!". Afterwards see if any improvements have been made a create a journal to keep track of your progress. Hope this helps.
