I’m wondering if you would find value in asking asking yourself about what works for you, aside from their needs and aside from the feelings of wanting to be with them? When you consider the experience of the discomfort or pain of this back and forth compared to the transition a discomfort of moving on based on your own choice, does one feel more or less hard to manage? I want to be sure I understand what you are seeking, is your question asking about ways that you can halo them make a decision and stick with it? I sometimes find it helpful to ask myself these difficult questions as if a dear friend were asking them to me about themselves. sometimes, especially when it is emotional, I am able to find my best solution when I consider a friend in the situation. It helps me to step back and out of my pain and confusion and see what I feel might be the best for someone it is easy for me to see their value. I’ve heard many people share that when they are in pain, especially around a break up, it can be hard to be in touch with just how great they are!
