Heads Up: Doorkeepers Refresher Training Coming Soon
Hello, Doorkeepers!
We have been seeing some misuse of the Doorkeeper functionality. To address this and ensure that everyone is clear on the rules and responsibilities of being a Doorkeeper, we will soon be doing a mass removal of the badge and asking everyone to take a brief refresher. It has been a long time since we have updated access anyway, so this is a good opportunity to get current on active badge holders. 💪

Misuse of the Doorkeeper badge? I have one and I don't even know how you would misuse it. This makes me sad. Not everyone has the self-awareness to think, "Could my actions impact other people?"
@Heather225 Well that is sad. Perhaps there should be a mechanism to log the person's username who misused, instead of revoking access to everyone, lol. But well, if there isn't then sure... will take the refresher. Tbh, I rarely use it anyway, so take my opinion lightly 😁 Hope there's a better way in the future to nab the troublemakers x

It's a bit more complicated than it appears, but we also have 200+ people holding the badge whiiiich I don't think is accurate 😂 So I figure now is as good a time as any to do a broad activity check and refresher!

@Heather225 where is the training? I'm currently trying to hold a discussion and I can't because there's no one around to open any rooms and I even subscribed to this thread and yet I wasn't tagged or mentioned or shown any trainings...

Also for future reference, in case anyone asks, the Emergency Mod form has a section for requesting opening/closing rooms.
