@PetiteSouris I'd like that change too ❤❤ and wow! Look at all those turtles😍
@PetiteSouris. How beautiful to see the turtles resting in the water!
@PetiteSouris
I am a nature lover too! I need it every day!! 💚
I find it so essential to life, it's hard for me to grasp why some people don't like it.
@Aputik for me I don't like it because it was forced on me and part of my generational, historical and epigenetic trauma.
@communicativePond1728 thanks for your answer!
I guess you have some bad memories associated to being outdoors whereas I have some good ones and that explains the difference in preferences. It's all about how one experiences the first time(s) you're exposed to it. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience.
@Aputik No, its not a memory it's trauma. Memory has nothing to do with it.
@communicativePond1728
Sounds like it's much tougher than I thought, I'm sorry to hear. I'm available if you want to chat about it.
Something I'd like to keep doing is the means tests required to stay housed and buy some food. I am required to do so if I want to continue living, so I force myself to do it, regardless of my struggle to function.
Something I'd like to change is the overall apathy and political illiteracy of people in society and to try to cultivate within everyone the imagination, critical thinking skills, and compassion needed to collaborate to come up with meaningful, sustainable, inclusive, and life-affirming solutions to the multitude of crises and human rights degradation we're seeing within the status quo. It is of vital importance we address the problems in society, in the world at large, and with the climate we all rely on to survive and have any sort of quality of life and meaning to continuing to live going forward.
@Zeraphim
I hear you, there are so many things in this world that need changing, too much poverty, too many illnesses, too much crime, too much environmental pollution and and and. We can't change it in one go but I believe we can do our part by changing things around us and hopefully others will follow.
Nice that you do the necessary to make sure you keep what you have right now despite all!
@Zeraphim
I do agree with you, very much!
I feel like we, as a society, need a space to talk about al these important matters. Right now the closest space would probably be the bar, but there is not data or background to support discussions and discussions are not well guided, which may actually be detrimental. I wonder what kind of space/platform would be a good place to discuss and think about these important matters in a healthy way.
@Aputik Very good question. I don't know. Everything takes money to sit down in now. There are no more third places between home and school/ work that don't come with a price tag. Places of worship are struggling. Libraries are having their budgets cut. The only thing being funded as of late is police, almost as if in anticipation of public unrest as things progressively get worse. City budgets reflect this. Not more funding for housing unhoused people. More funding to displace them from tents and force them out of town with police.
The economic philosophy which underpins much of our suffering also leaves us too isolated, overworked, and underpaid to have the time off to think about anything beyond individual survival.
@Zeraphim
Yes, the world is not made up to improve people's happiness but rather a few people's pockets, precisely the people that sets up this world.... we need a change in mentality and some sort of pacific rebellion. We may have to be like Socrates and walk around the streets asking people essential life questions 😅

Something I like to keep doing is keep practicing mindfulness every day.
Something I like to change is stopping blaming others and start looking for the attitudes I had that make me see everything with dark glasses.
@amiablePeace77
Something I like to keep doing is keeping up with reading, as well as my studies.
Something I like to change is to be able to eliminate procrastination.
@daydreammemories
Nice that keeping up with reading and studies is something you like and I guess therefore feels easy. I find the more I think about doing something the more I might procrastinate it so often it helps me most to just "do it" and "don't think too much about should or should I not when I know it has to be done".
@amiablePeace77
All great points, thank you! 😊
Something i'd like to do more is go on hikes and read. Something i'd like to change is getting more sleep.
@reginalistener18
I hope now that spring is practically already there you will get some nice days to go on a hike. Do you have a sleep routine, like doing something calming before bedtime, no white lights etc.?
@amiablePeace77 I have been trying to use those sleep guided meditation apps but they haven't been working for me. But I've been trying to do some yoga and journaling before bed sometimes that helps.
@reginalistener18 someone told me they take a warm shower before bed and that helps them relax.
@amiablePeace77
Something I like to keep doing is writing in my journal and reading.
Something I like to change is my self esteem to be better towards myself. and to change my feelings of myself
