Calling All Verified Listeners: Help Wanted on the 7 Cups Welcome Committee!

...See more The hardest part of the journey is sometimes the beginning, and this is especially true of our newbies. We as a community have the power and ability to ensure they get properly oriented and supported so that their journey is smooth. I have been actively contacting newbies over the past couple of months and the results have been inspiring. Roughly 80% of those I sent a personal message responded to me and very appreciatively! That's a really big deal because those people have a much higher chance of being retained (retained = staying on 7 Cups). But I need help! So it's with great excitement, that I announce the revamped relaunch of the Welcome Committee! Through this initiative, we can meet our newcomers at the start with a friendly welcome (think hospitality, a greeter, etc.). We will also provide guidance and resources they need to navigate their first steps. The tasks are simple. PMing brand new members, saying hi, giving resources, answering their questions, and sending follow-up PMs to make sure their transition is complete. There are two sides of the Welcome Committee: one to serve members and one to serve listeners. 1. To qualify to join the Member Welcome Committee, here are the requirements: * You must be a Verified Listener (find out how to get verified here) [https://www.7cups.com/forum/listenerjourney/ListenerVerificationProject_1839/GetVerifiedon7Cups_290064/] * No behavior reports (BPS) within 3 months * Comfortable PMing * Google Sheets skills – Basic knowledge of managing data in Google Sheets is necessary. Note: The team uses spreadsheets to copy/paste names and log PMs so you'll need access to a computer/laptop device. This work can't be done via phone. We apologize for the inconvenience * Maintenance criteria: 1-2 hours a month to dedicate to this project ✅ Apply here! ...See more After a very turbulent year loosing my mum in march I'm reaching out to all. I took care of mum for a long time at home, she had cancer and her loss has devastated me 😔. Half the man I used to be as I feel a massive part of me went to, no family and a few friends things are lonely and so hard without her. Hope your all having a good night.

Most folks call me "comforting" or "musician" here, but never the two combined, which I don't mind at all. Pronouns are he/him. I am on hiatus from individual chats right now but currently I periodically contribute by responding to forum posts and/or posting. I hope to continue helping folks feel less alone in whatever they're facing here. Darker green has always been my favorite color. It just gives a fresh vibe. Autumn is my favorite season. The days are of reasonable length and temperatures are just right (at least in the first chunk before the deep dark winter lol). I also enjoy the unique colors of trees.

What's your favorite sport to watch? What's your favorite sport to play? I personally love watching American football, it's so fun cheering on every single play and watching the sport, at the same time there is no way I'd be able to play that sport haha. I love playing basketball I think it's a really fun sport that combines technique and athleticism.
