Hi! My username is Spookyaki. I had heard of 7Cups years ago, but just joined fairly recently. I joined because I wanted to do something to make a positive difference in people's lives... It's a tough world out there! It's great how many resources there seem to be for welcoming new members, though I'll admit, despite some experience with running an online support group, I'm a bit nervous about starting that first conversation😅

Hello everyone I am hopfuldeer, I subscribed to 7 cups as a listener yesterday, and there is a reason behind why I decided to become a listener. At 14, my home felt like a battlefield of loud arguments and heavy silence. I fell into a deep depression, feeling like a deer caught in the headlights of a life I couldn't control. I remember setting on the floor of my room, feeling completely invisible, wondering if my voice even mattered. But then, I found a glimmer of hope the realization that while I couldn't change my family, I could change how I support others. I chose the name hopefuldeer to honor that vulnerable child who survived the woods. I joined 7 Cups because I never want anyone to feel as invisible as I did. I'm here to listen, because I know that being heard is the first step toward healing.

Hi, I'm not used to participate in any type of forums or communities, it makes me very nervous to be open to the reactions of other people even if I know that this place is full of love and support, I'm just very shy but I'm doing my best to overcome it here.
It's my second time opening this site, last time I was going through a very rough moment and I got a little lost with how everything works, but right now I think I'm in a better headspace and wanted to give it another try. The main reason is that I realized I feel very scared and alone all the time, so instead of sitting with that I'm trying to fix it, hopefully it's a step on the right direction.
I'm very excited to be a part of this community, to get to know people, establish deep connections and if I can help out with what I can, life is so confusing but as social creatures it should get easier when sharing with other people :)
