We’d love to meet them!  Welcome to the Pet Corner, a cozy little space in Hobby Zone where we can celebrate our pets, share their adventures, and get to know one another through the animals we love. How does it work? We want everyone to have their own little corner to share their pet’s story! Here’s how to get started: 1) Create your own pet thread! Start a new thread with a fun title featuring your pet or pets. Here are a few ideas to inspire you: - Misty’s Cat Adventures - Meet My Bunnies! - My Little Bird Family Feel free to get creative and make the title your own! 2. Share updates in your thread. Got a cute new picture? A funny story? A milestone, a mischievous moment, or just a little update about your pet’s day? Add it to your existing thread! That way, all your pet’s stories and adventures stay together in one place, and we can follow along as they grow and make memories. 3. Visit other members’ threads! Pet Corner is all about sharing and connecting. Drop by to say hello, admire someone’s adorable companion, ask questions, or celebrate their latest update. You never know what friendships might grow from a shared love of animals! You can subscribe to individual forum threads to stay updated. Note: * All kinds of animals are welcome! Cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, fish, reptiles, and every other animal friend you’d like to share. * You don’t have to own a pet to participate. ...See more Hey! This is my first post, and I hope a lot of people see this. If you couldn't tell already by my bio or the title, I'm a huge My Chemical Romance fan. I saw them on October 23rd for the Black Parade Tour, and it was amazing!!! I really like their "I Brought You My Bullets, Your Brought Me Your Love" album! I really hope other fans, or if people are interested in them see this! I hope I can talk about my love for them to someone here :)

...See more Has anyone here experienced this before? At first, you love your art so much, but as time goes on, it looks weird, not as cute as you first saw it? Or maybe it's something that you made, like a doll, or any handmade crafts, don't have to be a drawing.  When I noticed these flaws of my old drawing, I feel like I'm going to improve but not sure though. Let's discuss about this ☕

...See more I seem to have a minor obsession with whimsy now. Maybe I have been this way for a while, but now I am aware of it. I think I understand what the appeal is. Shame I can't just... be happy. Happy with life as it is now. Happy despite what cannot be changed by me. I think that is part of, if not the entire reason, why I love the whimsy. The whimsical things. Vines and string lights, colors, texture, medieval or fantasy aesthetics, etc. Even the sad/depressed moments can be made more "romanticized" (for lack of a better word). Spooky witchy stuff, Y2K scene aesthetics, edgy music, and more. Maybe that's what makes the hard times more bearable for some of us? So now for what makes this sort of a "hobby" or a collection of hobbies. I don't know about everyone else, but I like decorating. A lot. My outfits have to make me feel good! My environment has to have personality. So I wear things that I love that match my mood every day, and I put a ton of thought into how I decorate my space. Some things are free! You can take plants from outside and bring them in. Put them in a pot if you want them to live, or let them dry out and use them like that. Love tree branches, and pinecones, and sometimes flowers if they don't fall apart. Acorns, too! Put them in a jar, or a tin can, a vase, or a decorative bowl. Cheap whimsy. I love it. Some of the outdoors in my indoors. Unfortunately, it is easy to be tempted to buy things. I have. But there can be some nice goodies found in shops if you know where to look! I have gotten a few of my favorite things for free by sheer luck. I like the colorful string and strip lights, art dolls, paintings, small garden statues, and even perfume bottles. The visuals and the perfume smells work together to fuel the vibes. So I guess this feels like a hobby to me because I am always slowly curating a mood/atmosphere to immerse myself in. It is an ongoing thing and it is tangible. I spend time just thinking of how to rearrange things and whether or not to go search for more natural materials. Also, I think... I just use it as a way to cope. Enjoying things that look nice and smell nice in this way has become a very important part of my life. Maybe to a degree that is not natural. I'm not sure. I just know it is a big part of my every day now. Thoughts? How do you feel about these things? Do you relate? Did I completely miss the point of whimsy? (Please be gentle 😅)

...See more I recently found out I can chat with other listeners and members to just talk about random interests and I'm very excited 😃 I, personally, really enjoy discussing psychology, philosophy, and physics (the three Ps lol) because when you go high enough, they kind of blend together in a really satisfying way (specifically, if you're interested, because they build on each other; philosophy governs understanding and what's logical; physics drives the universe we live in; psychology describes the way we work. It's like 3 colored glass panes stacked on top of each other, look in from a side and you'll see something vastly different than if you looked at the pane alone :)) I've been writing about it for a long time and I'd love to chat about any one of those three you're interested in! Send me a message if you'd like :) and maybe respond here as well, so other like-minded folks can see that you're someone to talk to as well 💙

Hobby Zone is a friendly, relaxing, and safe space where we do not expect to have triggery, or triggering artwork, writing, poetry, or other contributions.

  • You can start a Hobby Journal or join in with seeing what others are up to.

  • You can post your artwork but please make sure it is teen suitable and adheres to 7 Cups guidelines so appropriate attire and content. Please start your own thread and keep ALL artwork in that thread. This will mean that your thread gains upvotes/hearts and will notify everyone when a new post is made.

  • You can share your poetry or writing but again please make sure that it is suitable for an emotional support site and is not triggering. If in doubt then please ask a community leader, the names can be found under this 'About' tab below. Please start your own thread and keep ALL writing & poetry work in that thread. This will mean that your thread gains upvotes/hearts and will notify everyone when a new post is made.

  • Be wary of clicking on any unknown links as they are not vetted or checked by Hobby Zone or 7 Cups.

  • Please avoid giving links to other sites such as YouTube or Spotify for music or video content instead please give the name and song title so that people can safely do their own search and find the content.
