We’d love to meet them!  Welcome to the Pet Corner, a cozy little space in Hobby Zone where we can celebrate our pets, share their adventures, and get to know one another through the animals we love. How does it work? We want everyone to have their own little corner to share their pet’s story! Here’s how to get started: 1) Create your own pet thread! Start a new thread with a fun title featuring your pet or pets. Here are a few ideas to inspire you: - Misty’s Cat Adventures - Meet My Bunnies! - My Little Bird Family Feel free to get creative and make the title your own! 2. Share updates in your thread. Got a cute new picture? A funny story? A milestone, a mischievous moment, or just a little update about your pet’s day? Add it to your existing thread! That way, all your pet’s stories and adventures stay together in one place, and we can follow along as they grow and make memories. 3. Visit other members’ threads! Pet Corner is all about sharing and connecting. Drop by to say hello, admire someone’s adorable companion, ask questions, or celebrate their latest update. You never know what friendships might grow from a shared love of animals! You can subscribe to individual forum threads to stay updated. Note: * All kinds of animals are welcome! Cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, fish, reptiles, and every other animal friend you’d like to share. * You don’t have to own a pet to participate. Former pet owners, animal lovers, and anyone who enjoys hearing pet stories are welcome, too. * Please keep conversations kind, respectful, and supportive. ...See more What say Halloween better than creep-tastic treats that push the boundaries of too eerie to eat?! Do you like to stay on the cute side of things or are you all in on ghastly gastronomy? [image consists of various spooky treats - mummy jalapenos, monster apple slices, olive spiders on cracker pizzas] From using almond slices and a bit of red icing to turn a simple sugar cookie into a ‘witchy finger’, to using bacon to mummify a meatloaf, some of the recipes that appear this time of year are certainly a fright! Others insist that cuteness and pumpkins rule this night! Often all it takes to turn a recipe from everyday into something spine chilling is a bit of imagination, food colouring or even some edible eyes. How about a dozen pumpkin muffins with cute little oreo bats? Pumpkin Muffins (makes 12): * 1 cup canned pumpkin * 2 large eggs * ½ cup sugar * ½ cup packed brown sugar * ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce * ¼ cup canola oil * 1 cup all-purpose flour * 1 teaspoon baking powder * ½ teaspoon baking soda * ¼ teaspoon salt * 1½ teaspoons ground cinnamon * 1½ teaspoons pumpkin pie spice For decoration: * 1 can (16 oz) vanilla frosting * 18 oreo cookies (optional) * 24 candy eyes (optional) * Food colouring (optional) [image consists of cupcakes with bat decorations made from oreos] Directions: * Preheat the oven to 350°F(180°C). * Line muffin tins with paper, foil or reusable muffin liners. * Beat together pumpkin, eggs, sugar, brown sugar, applesauce and oil until well combined. * In a separate bowl, gently whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. * Gradually add flour mixture to wet ingredients, mixing well. * Fill muffin liners approximately ⅔ of the way full with batter. * Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 min. (Until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean) * Cool in pans for 10 min, remove to wire racks and cool completely. * For oreo bats - use frosting to attach candy eyes to one side of a dozen of the oreos. * Take remaining oreos and separate cookies from icing - break each individual oreo cookie in half; these will be your “bat wings”. * Mix vanilla frosting with food colouring(if desired). * Carefully pipe frosting onto cooled muffins. * Place oreo rounds in the frosting and gently insert wings behind the whole oreo. So will you be turning cake pops into eyeballs? Using pudding, oreo crumbs and gummy candy to make some good old fashioned dirt’n’worms? Maybe you have a recipe for your very own witches brew? Preheat your oven to 180 degrees C (350 degrees F) 2. Cream together the butter and both sugars until smooth. 3. Beat the eggs in, then stir in the vanilla. 4.Dissolve the baking soda in the water and add it to the mix along with the salt. 5. Stir in the flour and chocolate chips. 6. Drop by large spoonfuls onto a greased pan. 7. Bake for 10 mins or until the edges are nicely browned. Enjoy!

Hobby Zone is a friendly, relaxing, and safe space where we do not expect to have triggery, or triggering artwork, writing, poetry, or other contributions.

  • You can start a Hobby Journal or join in with seeing what others are up to.

  • You can post your artwork but please make sure it is teen suitable and adheres to 7 Cups guidelines so appropriate attire and content. Please start your own thread and keep ALL artwork in that thread. This will mean that your thread gains upvotes/hearts and will notify everyone when a new post is made.

  • You can share your poetry or writing but again please make sure that it is suitable for an emotional support site and is not triggering. If in doubt then please ask a community leader, the names can be found under this 'About' tab below. Please start your own thread and keep ALL writing & poetry work in that thread. This will mean that your thread gains upvotes/hearts and will notify everyone when a new post is made.

  • Be wary of clicking on any unknown links as they are not vetted or checked by Hobby Zone or 7 Cups.

  • Please avoid giving links to other sites such as YouTube or Spotify for music or video content instead please give the name and song title so that people can safely do their own search and find the content.
