If I had to point to one thing that helped me with my anxiety it would be my decision to start holding my head up high as much as possible. It may sound very simple (and it is!), but I've found that deep and steady breathing along with a proud, upright posture can completely turn my mood around for the better and allow me to tackle a problem with a clear and sharp mind.

There are a lot. A lot of it is about mentality. If it's genetically inherited, it's harder to cope with because sometimes you get it when you don't even feel to anxious about something. But if you take away triggers for that anxiety, such as removing yourself from stressful situations, you can remove yourself from the anxiety, also.

Yes, there certainly are. Meditation, deep breaths, and realizing that the anxiety you are feeling is not rational can be somewhat helpful in coping with anxiety. In some cases though the Anxiety is too great to manage naturally and requires medical intervention. When you feel that you cannot control your anxiety at all, that is when it may be good to seek professional medical help and maybe medication.

Natural methods can include breathing exercises, looking at calming images, and muscle relaxation, where you can tense your whole body and let the body relax, physically relaxing you and also the mind as well.

There are natural methods to cope with anxiety. But it all depends on the person. For me, I naturally cope with my anxiety through breathing and giving myself an optimistic lecture. It helps me most of the time when I have mild anxiety, but sometimes when it gets too much I tend to shut myself and just do what I did. Breathe, and think positive.

You could try meditation, breathing techniques, vitamins but it is important to discuss any supplement or vitamins you plan on taking with your doctor because even natural remedies could affect certain medications

Anxiety can be hard to understand. Sometimes people think they need medication, but to some it can cause more harm than good. Of course it's necessary in some cases. Natural methods such as meditation, healthy lifestyle and thought analysis can already make a tremendous change in life.

Meditation and yoga can be really helpful. I like to have a cup of chamomile tea and listen to some kind of relaxing music.

Keeping a balanced diet and exercise are both great ways to help with anxiety. Also, if you enjoy nature, find a quiet place to relax for any time you can. Enjoy the sounds around you and let yourself melt into your surroundings.

Yes. If you're having a panic attack try to identify random things in the room. "there's a lamp" "there's the tv". it helps to distract you. If you're finding a situation too stressful or triggering don't be afraid to take a break. Don't be afraid to acknowledge that you're struggling. Contact friends and family and let them know what you're going through. listen to calming music, drink herbal teas such as camomile. Sometimes even the act of smiling tricks your brain into thinking its a bit more relaxed. or you could wear something like a rubber band around your wrist to snap or fiddle with when you're getting anxious.

There are several natural methods that I have found help me cope incredibly well with my anxiety, for example, "ground" techniques, meditation, and even simple things like having a warm cup or tea or a power nap. But in my personal experience with GAD, these natural methods have only worked in conjunction with my medication. Natural methods such as meditation, yoga, breathing techniques, and other techniques such as ground techniques are a great place to start in trying to cope with anxiety alongside speaking with a medical professional, or a counselor, or even a good friend you trust, but I don't feel like anyone should ever at any point feel ashamed in trying other "un-natural" or pharmaceutical methods in coping with their anxiety!

Yes, there are breathing techniques you can try. I use the 4-7-8 breathing one. It is where you breathe in for 7 seconds, hold it for 4, then breathe out for 8. This technique usually helps me when I am feeling anxious.

Breathing is the thing I find most effective, just below meditation and just plain old talking it out. Sometimes I escape whether it be I'm a book or my own head but that's not really a solution.

Drinking tea, acupressure points and taking a small break (such as taking a walk, bath or writing everything on your mind onto paper).

Anxiety is a battle within oneselves. I do think that to deal with it, it's also according on how severe a person is experiencing the anxiety itself. Personally, i try to cope with anxiety by trying to distract myself with movies, books or eating comfort foods. Finding a hobby is also a great distraction and good way to spent time. When nothing works, then sleeping is also a good way to calm ourselves. Some people use aromatheraphy to calm themselves as it has a soothing effect on them. It takes time but I believe that everyone can eventually overcome this.

I would always suggest talking with your doctor first to make sure what is right for you. Some things to try at home are limiting what causes you unnecessary stress and calming exercises such as meditation, music therapy, and working on breathing techniques to help you better get a hold during an anxiety or panic attack. Setting an amount of time per day to just relax and be by yourself - even if it is only fifteen to thirty minutes - might also help reduce your anxiety. Try not to take on too much so you are not overwhelmed as well.

Yes, there's lots of free meditation apps which work better than I'd thought they would before I tried them. There's focusing on and trying to control your breathing, the faster means the more anxious you are. You could just examine your thoughts and understand the reasons behind them which helps a lot too.

Taking care of yourself helps. Diet and sleep can help or hurt anxiety. Also, make sure your relationships are healthy and not adding to the stress. Breathing techniques and mindless games can help distract you when you feel panicky.

Yes, in my experience there are many natural ways of coping with anxiety. I personally take special notice to things that are successful in calming me down. like movies or a good book. So the day before a test i usually watch a movie to calm my nerves. I also have mantras, my mantra for test taking is " you've done it, you know it, you lived it, you got it". But every person is different so just take notice to the things that calm you down and then implement them into your daily life. I also get anxiety whenever im doing something in front of crowds, so usually in those situations i'd opt to do things with a partner or someone i feel comfortable with.

There are oils, lavender, etc. Do some research. Google it, then ask someone who knows more about it.
