How can you ask family and friends for mental health support after you have pushed everyone away? I hate feeling like I'm burdoning friends/family with my problems so I end up self isolating.

Well, self-isolating and not wanting to burden others is a way of being self-dependent. But sometimes in the process of being self-dependent, we tend to push important people away. We only realize it when we need them. And when we need them, it becomes harder to seek their support. The first step would be to talk about the elephant in the room. What circumstances led to the pushing in the first place? Second would be to break the wall of stigma. It's okay to ask for support in general. It only helps in improvement. And the final step is to let them know how fabulous they are for being there for you despite of the past situation. All the best
