People tell me that we should't live our lives to please others, but what if the only reason that I'm living is because other's don't want me to die?

that's still a valid reason. i've been there; it's hard, let me tell you. but it takes immense courage to choose to exist when you're staring down the edge of a cliff, and you should be proud. while my story is mine and yours is different, i learned how to help others before i learned how to help myself. i learned empathy, i learned how to support people, and as i researched and learned what worked and didn't work and what brought smiles to people's faces and what made them cry, i learned how to live for myself. it's okay to live because others don't want you to die because it's a tether to your life here, on this earth. if you live for others, that's a stepping stone to learn how to live for yourself. you have the courage; recognize it. be brave.
