No, I have the same battle of anxiety and I don't feel crazy or mental....maybe mental...but mental is not crazy. Mental illness is treatable. A person battling anxiety just needs help.... Nothing crazy with feeling anxiety.

While you may sometimes feel disconnected, having anxiety does NOT make you crazy/mental! Your body is going through fight or flight and actually, it is working! The difficulty with anxiety is our fight or flight response is triggered without danger. Though you may feel alone and distressed about these events, many experience these reactions and there is a lot you can do to get through things!

Of course not. Anxiety is a natural state for most human beings, whether or not you deal with it in a more severe way never means your crazy or mental. We all get anxious sometimes

Not at all! It just means there's a chemical imbalance in your brain that causes your responses to things to be different than in other people. It is a normal thing and it affects sooo many people and in no way does it make you crazy.

It simply means you don't know what will happen in the future and your mind can't deal with it. Everybody has fears of what they don't know and the future is the one thing we cannot know all the time.

I work closely with many people suffering from debilitating anxiety- I do too. And I can tell you this: despite how illogical your emotional response seems, you are never crazy. Learning how to manage anxiety is important, but you should never feel crazy about experiencing distress about uncertainty- it is something that plagues nearly everyone.

It most certainly does not. It simply means you are feeling overwhelmed. The key here is to find what is causing the anxiety in order to work on it.

no, not really. anxiety is a natural mechanism meant to alert folks of an impending danger, it is how you respond to anxiety or how well you cope with having anxiety that determines how severe it will become. f you find you are struggling, then there are many people you can discuss your challenge with, but anxiety is usually not a permanent situation and you can learn how to manage it.

Just because you have anxiety, does not mean you are crazy (in any sense!). Anxiety disorders are very common and are nothing to be ashamed of. Many people experience anxiety, but there are varying degrees of it. Don't worry- you are not alone!

It definitely doesn't. Everyone has anxiety at some point in their life; before a speech, a job interview, an exam... Maybe some have anxiety more than others, and this still doesn't mean that the person is crazy. Deep breaths and mediation can reduce the amount of anxiety.

Of course it doesn't! Having anxiety just means that you get really anxious about certain things, it has nothing to do with being crazy. Having anxiety is not wrong at all, it's a common thing and there are many ways to deal with it.

I wouldn't call someone with anxiety crazy or mental I believe its just different way of looking at the world and things that happen around us, obviously it is some kind of illness that individual should work on but wouldn't go as far as crazy or mental unless the case is really severe.

Having anxiety does not mean you are crazy or mental. Anxiety is something that is different for each individual. It's a difficult aspect in life, but that doesn't mean you should be treated as crazy. It's something many people go through and that's okay!

Not at all! Anxiety is triggered when you become nervous or something is upsetting or causes you fear. It’s a human response to protect yourself from what is triggering the anxiety.

Under this definition of crazy or insane would you qualify as such a person? If you have an anxiety disorder the answer is no. You have your mental faculties in order, and you know exactly what right and wrong mean. You know the social norms of society and you follow them. In other words, you don’t walk around with your underwear on your head because you know that society views this as unacceptable behavior. The second and highest level of so called crazy is a mental state of delusion and abstraction known as psychosis. Psychosis is associated with conditions like bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. These conditions fall under the psychotic types of mental illness. These conditions are debilitating brain disorders that can seriously hinder ones life. When someone is psychotic they may hear voices or have hallucinations. In addition they might have a serious paranoia and a feeling that everyone is out to get them. When someone is deemed psychotic they exhibit disorganized thinking and strange behaviors of various kind. Their very perception of reality is not what you would call “normal.” It is seriously distorted and disconnected from normal definitions of reality. Moreover one of the most critical aspects of psychosis that does not affect anxiety sufferers is a lack of insight. Having a lack of insight is just another way of saying that you don’t know that you are behaving or acting strangely. As an anxiety sufferer you spend a lot of time thinking you’re crazy or on the verge of crazy but if this were true than you wouldn’t know it. You simply would not be aware of the fact that your thoughts and behavior were strange or “crazy.” When you have anxiety you are certainly filled with dread and worry. You experience psychosomatic sensations that make you feel terrible and make you think that you might die soon. It’s pretty scary sometimes. But the bottom line is that your level of mental fitness is not the same as someone that is psychotic or crazy – it’s much better.

Anxiety is a nervous condition that an individual develops in case of failure to develop an alternate ego defence. E.g: You couldn't study for your exam because you had to attend a wedding. During the occassion, you're constantly worrying about and fixated on what would happen in your paper and have an increased heart beat. It is a mental disorder, but mental in the sense of relating to the mind, not lunacy.

No, it does not mean that at all. It only means that you need help from a therapist or pysc MD. They also have support groups that you can attend.

Anxiety is to be human. From my own introspection, it's not that you are crazy or mental when you have anxiety. It's just many of the experiences you've had that pilled up that leak out all the time. With fear, it's clear that you need to get away as your body turns fight or flight mode where you know that it's time to fucking escape from that fear; anxiety on the other hand is basically this experience without a clear signal like fear. It's just there. It is to be human. Usually having anxiety is labelled is crazy or mental usually comes from ignorance because every human being has this to a certain spectrum.
