Mission Starting out on 7 Cups as a new listener can feel overwhelming. From accepting your first chat to exploring different rooms and learning resources, there is a lot to do and see! That's why the Welcome Committee will be here to support new listeners through this journey. Our goal is to help new listeners feel confident using the platform within their first month and to reduce confusion around features, expectations, and where to find help. How does it work? Team members will reach out to new listeners to welcome them and ask if they have any questions, following up a few days after the initial contact. We may not be able to reach out to all new listeners, so if we missed you, feel free to contact a team member directly or reach out to a mentor [https://www.7cups.com/listener/training/mentors/]. How can I join? We would love to have you on the team! The requirements are the following: * Verified listener * 100+ chats completed * 4.5-star rating or above * At least 5 reviews * Listener level: Apprentice or higher (6,881+ cheers) Team members have a quota of 20 initial outreaches and 20 follow-ups per month. ...See more The hardest part of the journey is sometimes the beginning, and this is especially true of our newbies. We as a community have the power and ability to ensure they get properly oriented and supported so that their journey is smooth. I have been actively contacting newbies over the past couple of months and the results have been inspiring. Roughly 80% of those I sent a personal message responded to me and very appreciatively! That's a really big deal because those people have a much higher chance of being retained (retained = staying on 7 Cups). But I need help! So it's with great excitement, that I announce the revamped relaunch of the Welcome Committee! Through this initiative, we can meet our newcomers at the start with a friendly welcome (think hospitality, a greeter, etc.). We will also provide guidance and resources they need to navigate their first steps. The tasks are simple. PMing brand new members, saying hi, giving resources, answering their questions, and sending follow-up PMs to make sure their transition is complete. There are two sides of the Welcome Committee: one to serve members and one to serve listeners. 1. To qualify to join the Member Welcome Committee, here are the requirements: * You must be a Verified Listener (find out how to get verified here) [https://www.7cups.com/forum/listenerjourney/ListenerVerificationProject_1839/GetVerifiedon7Cups_290064/] * No behavior reports (BPS) within 3 months * Comfortable PMing * Google Sheets skills – Basic knowledge of managing data in Google Sheets is necessary. Note: The team uses spreadsheets to copy/paste names and log PMs so you'll need access to a computer/laptop device. This work can't be done via phone. We apologize for the inconvenience * Maintenance criteria: 1-2 hours a month to dedicate to this project ✅ Apply here! ...See more "I swear to you, my God, to make her a light in my heart that will not be extinguished, and make me back to her so that she will never breakbecause she and I areof them and we are the secret of each other's existence" I'll always remember these lines that you read while describing akhenatens love for nefritti.. little did I know it's depth .of why you were mentioning these. at that time...years have passed..11 years..no contacts..not even your address..mobile no..no picture of yours..no connections..the fact that you are continents away separated by oceans..and yet the love has not faded...I still think of you ...your calling me birdie ..being the fee bird I was..your care..our precious memories ..the office where we first met and pretended acquaintance while in reality our connection over conversations had grown to be much more...sometimes I question God that does he even exist..then I say to myself..maybe not all stories need to end..ours will be one such.. remember..I used to tell you ..you are worse than drugs..if I don't talk to you I feel like an addict searching for you ...your laughing and saying I am not good birdie..the thousands of books you read to me..and your choice of music which I still could not accept..your movie recommendations which I had told I will never view..i watch again and again ..yes..so many years..but I can't forget you..time flies..days months years..but I..i still miss you so much...when you left this country..the last conversation when I said you never formally proposed..why are you going..I hate you .attend my wedding..and you simply said...you loved me but you knew my circumstances..and that you cannot see me getting married..and that was it..you left..you never married..you still stay there waiting for the day which will never come... I'll be true to my wedding vows..will never meet ..see or talk to you ever .but..my memories...I have failed to erase them...I miss you and that's a reality..my heart tells me it's immoral to even think about past..my mind says was it moral that i had to sacrifice your love because our parents wouldn't agree...I have repaid back their debt of raising me .... This life will end the way it's destined..but make sure you meet me and take me with you in next lives...I miss you so much it hurts like death....
