Welcome new listeners and members!! it's so great to have you all here with us!
Members if you ever need to chat, feel free to message me! I am usually available every evening beginning at 6 pm us est but i'm known to pop in in the middle of the night for a couple of hours. If you need to message me outside of those times, I will message you as promptly as possible!
I hope everyone has a great day and if you watch game of thrones last night and freaked out, know that you are not alone! i literally was yelling at the TV! lol
I joined a few days ago and found the strength to type something today. I dont know where to start. Ive felt empty for as long as I can remember. Everyday is the same. Same boring routine, same school, same conversations with my parents that make me feel further apart from them every time we speak. I dont feel much. The only pleasure I feel now is when I smoke or do drugs. My parents are alcoholics. My dad has a drug addiction I also have that he introduced me to. Im undiagnosed. Every time Ive tried to talk to someone I get shut down. Theres no way I could have anxiety or be depressed. Thats how they think. I havent been able to hold a real relationship with anyone. I have no friends. I dont feel like I can talk to my parents about anything.
Hiya, @Tree12
Welcome to 7cups, we're pleased to see you have joine and hope you can have the best experience possible!
I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through - I can understand how challenging it must be for you having alcoholic parents and being introduced to drug usage as well. It can totally feel like we're just re-living the same day over and over, and I hope things get better for you. We are all here for you, take as much time as you need. Opening up about what you're going through, to anybody, takes courage and I'm rpoud of you for coming here and taking that step towards the support you deserve. We wish you the very best.
Take care!
Hello, I'm a new member joining around the end of april. I'd just like to say hello and hopefully find a way to join in with the community.
@AlteredMemories
Welcome. What brings you here?
@Nottooshabby
Life comes with it's hardships and all. I figured I would try to be more open about myself and hopefully get better at expressing myself.
@AlteredMemories Look. I don't exactly like talking about everything. I'm not very open and I'm not sure why I came exactly. I just want someone to talk to. Is that a bad thing?
@AlteredMemories
What would you like to be more open about?
@Nottooshabby
I'm not sure. About myself. My personality? My actual personality.
@AlteredMemories
send me a message so we can talk a little more
@Nottooshabby
or if you don
@Nottooshabby It's been 10 minutes and it won't connect me to you.
@AlteredMemories at this point I'm just more annoyed and frustrated that this site isn't even working.
@AlteredMemories
thats weird. I wonder why

@Ottie thank you very much :)
Hey I dont really know anyone here but I just need someone to rant to,
Any volunteers?
Hi, I am new here, thought id take the chance to say hello.
I was diagnosed with BPD and depression when I was 17 but couldn't accept it buried it somewhere inside me. I am now 25 and again have been diagnosed with BPD. A lot of the time I can't cope with my own feelings, I see everything in black and white. When things might seem grey, I don't know how to cope with feeling nothing at all, I default to feeling depressed and everything spirals out of control. I don't really know who I am and my sense of self changes from day to day. I tend to engage in self-damaging behaviours, self-harm, drugs, spending. In the end, I don't really care about what happens to me. I feel chronic emptiness all the time, like there is an endless black hole inside me. Most of the time it ends up consuming me and all I am left with is rage.
I don't have much family or support people, I never have. I feel like an alien when I spend time with my family. I can make friends but find it hard to keep up the image if what they see in me. People come and go from my life all the time and I just get left hurt, even if it was my decision to cut them out.
On the outside I am fine. I'm a chef, I have a consistent job. I do the usual life things most of the time, and when I cant anymore I dont let anyone see that side of me. Im so secretive about how I feel, I dont think I even know half of the time.
Ive seen counsellors over the years but have never cliqued with anyone. Ive never met anyone that shares the same views as me either. Maybe this is the place who knows.
Heya, @selfdisciplinedJackfruit2298
Welcome to 7cups, we're pleased to see you have joined!
I'm sorry to hear you were diagnosed with both depression and BPD
. I can understand how challenging that must be for you, especially when not wanting to accept you were going through it, leading to keeping it all inside. I hear that you are going through a lot, and I really hope things get easier for you. Knowing how to cope as well as control how we are feeling, is difficult and I'm proud of you for coming here where I hope you can get the support you deserve - you aren't alone.
It's a shame to hear you don't really have family there to support you, that must be hard as well. We're all here for you and hope you can have the best experience possible!
Best wishes,
Take care.
