Hey! This is a non-serious question, and it will make me sound really clueless but i hope you don't mind.
What are threads, and How do the work? Also, how do you follow people?
Sorry for my stupid questions.
@FourthWheel
Ignore the second question. I figured out how to follow people
@FourthWheel
hi there! threads are like each post, so each person that posts is creating a thread, because the replies thread them all together if that makes sense.
@EvelyneRose
Thanks so much! That makes !ugh more sense
@EvelyneRose
Are they just responses to someone's feed, or is there a way to start them?
@FourthWheel
When you go into a category, there should be a big blue button on the right upperhand side of the screen that says Create New Thread
@EvelyneRose
Thanks again

Hello. I'm new here today.
The "welcome" person suggested browsing for a listener. I did see a couple persons' descriptions that sounded compatible, so I marked them to "follow." Now I don't know how to get back to those people to start a chat/conversation/whatever it is called on this platform :P Can someone help? (Is there a better place to post this question?) Thanks.
@honestOrange395 Hello! Welcome to 7cups! Once you've browsed listeners and found one you want to talk to you can either request them if they're on, or leave a message if they're offline. I believe these are both the button in the center of the profile. Hope this helps!
Hi, I am new to this site and trying to figure out how to navigate it. Looking to connect to listeners in my age group (40s). Looking for support/feedback on dealing with trust/forgiveness issues in my relationship. Is there a way to leave info about my issue and listeners that feel able to respond can reach out to me? So far I have been waiting to be connected to listener but have not had any success in finding someone helpful.
@limeMoon6081 Hello! welcome to 7cups! If you want to find a certain type of listener, there are advanced search options so you can search listeners by age. If you have any questions feel free to contact me! : D
Hello, I'm Suzanne. I found this site seeking actual help and support when I was having a VERY bad day. I have to, somehow, learn how to live with chronic pain now. I have to do this so that all my other mental issues don't swallow me whole. I'm totally out of my element now by not being active or able to work or even cook dinner. My days revolve around my pain and I am having a hard time accepting it. Thanks for being here, everyone- and thank you for allowing me to be part of this.
@PeachyasUsual Hello, welcome to 7cups! We're so glad you're here!!! I'm so happy to hear you've been having a positive experience thus far. I hope your days are getting better. If you ever want to chat or ask a question my pms are open! Have a good one!
I feel for you. I live with pain as well. There is that point when even prescribed meds dont help. I would change positions In the night and I would scream. And even in the evening before I went to bed it would be too hard to get up and I would also just screamed. I live alone so That made it worse somehow. But my best friend, shes a nun. She told me some things to meditate on and now I am off the pain medication. My pain is still there but somehow the meditation works. Maybe if you have a therapist, they can give you meditations that would work for you. Because, like I said, after a while, even the pain medications dont touch the pain. I never thought that meditating would actually help but it does. My meditations are faith-based and I had to constantly micro meditate every time I took a step. And somehow the little tiny meditations made a little difference, then more of a difference and I guess my mind learned somehow to redirect the pain. I was on a prescribed narcotic and two other prescription pain meds and I was eating over the counter meds like candy. My doctors nurse was really concerned. And it made me stop and think. That I didnt want to lose like my liver or kidney function. Thats why I listened to my friend. she has never had pain but she was able to help. I know therapists know how to meditate and they can help people with them. I cant say that its going to work for you. But its worked for me. Ill say a prayer for you.
@PeachyasUsual
Hello, I'm Bonnie.
Ive been having a lot of issues with my relationship. I really want it to work but I feel im just not being what i should be for him. I have a lot of insecurities and i have a habit of making assumptions about things. I have a hard time connecting with people and im always the quiet one in the conversation. Mostly because I'm afraid to say anything. Its affecting my relationship and i cant tell when its really my fault or his when something happens. Anyways. Im hoping i can somehow learn more about myself here.
Hi there, @blueSky3920

@LittlebluP Hi, Im a new listener here. I love helping people and I feel like today especially these days people need an empathetic nonjudgmental space to be able to talk. And I want to be that space.
