Hobby turning into financial dream job
by rinniechan
Last post
May 8th
...See more So long story short, I'm following my passion for gardening and I attempted to do freelance gardening jobs for the first time, but didn't give a response there for a month so I gave up using that platform. So during that time I start making a youtube channel dedicated to teaching people how to garden and also in the process of making a garden consulting business at the moment. and today I got a text message, one of the people who I posted my freelance gardening work, I got a response, and just now I finished talking to them, and they hired me. Idk if it's some divine intervention or smt, but if this freelance job works, I'm one step closer to acheiving my dream of my gardening business and my gardening youtube channel too.  Slowly turning my passion for gardening into a financial dream job!! I thought it was impossible before, but it can definitely come true!!

...See more I want to share a nice experience I had while in my back yard but it has a sad ending 2 months ago 2 small birds started to build a nest in an old mail boxed in my backyard. Me and room mates had a very fun time watching the birds coming back and forth with nest building Materials. Some how with us not knowing the female bird laid 3 eggs. A 8 days the eggs hatched and 3 chicks was there now. 3 dsys ago things go quiet and parent birds stop coming. Today I went by the nest and no chicks is there. My room mates thinks a crow got the chicks. It was really sad ending but it was fun while it lasted.

...See more Harro~! I'm Rinnie !~ the hobby zone is one of my favorite communities owo So In my last post of gardening I learned a lot of stuff about the UI of this site and got recommended to share tips and tricks around gardening~ I was wondering if people are down with that O: I've been gardening for around 3 years and been growing fruit trees, fruits, vegetables, and multiple kinds of flowers, and I'd probably say currently 80% of my meals come from my garden, so almost close to self sufficient xD  But let me know if you guys are interested in it! I would love and be glad to share my knowledge about gardening! Always love talking about growing seedlings, nature, and just vibing~ U w U

Grandma's Hostas 2010 Part 1 of 2

...See more @Tinywhisper11 From Wikipedia. "Description Hostas are herbaceous perennial plants, growing from rhizomes which are sometimes stoloniferous,[10] with broad lanceolate or ovate leaves varying widely in size by species from 1–18 in (2.5–45.7 cm) long and 0.75–12 in (2–30 cm) broad. The smallest varieties are called miniatures. Variation among the numerous cultivars is even greater, with clumps ranging from less than 4 in (10 cm) across and 3 in (7.6 cm) high to more than 6 ft (1.8 m) across and 4 ft (1.2 m) high. Leaf color in wild species is typically green, although some species (e.g., H. sieboldiana) are known for a glaucous waxy leaf coating that gives a blue appearance to the leaf. Some species have a glaucous white coating covering the underside of the leaves. Natural mutations of native species are known with yellow-green ("gold") colored leaves or with leaf variegation (either white/cream or yellowish edges or centers). Variegated plants very often give rise to sports that are the result of the reshuffling of cell layers during bud formation, producing foliage with mixed pigment sections. In seedlings variegation is generally maternally derived by chloroplast transfer and is not a genetically inheritable trait. The flowers of hosta are produced on upright scapes that are woody and remain on the plant throughout winter, they are generally taller than the leaf mound, and end in terminal racemes.[11] The individual flowers are usually pendulous, 0.75–2 in (1.9–5.1 cm) long, with six tepals,[12] white, lavender, or violet in color and usually scentless. The only strongly fragrant species is Hosta plantaginea, which has white flowers up to 4 in (10 cm) long; it is also unusual in that the flowers open in the evening and close by morning. This species blooms in late summer and is sometimes known as "August Lily".[13]" 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10
