...See more Thank you for joining the Flourishing Challenge! Flourishing is the gold standard for measuring well-being. It is a multi-dimensional concept that refers to the process of making an active effort to pursue key well-being areas such as positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, and accomplishment. We are grateful to have you join us on this journey. Researchers from Harvard University have designed a Flourishing test that helps us assess how much we are flourishing in our lives. Their research and assessment closely relates to 6 main areas: (1) Happiness and Life Satisfaction (2) Mental and Physical Health (3) Meaning and Purpose (4) Character and Virtue (5) Close Social Relationships (6) Financial and Material Stability You can now assess your flourishing levels using Harvard's assessment via 7 Cups here [https://www.7cups.com/assessment/Flourishing] - the results will help you keep track of which areas you are doing well in, as well as areas that you can improve in. The best part is that this current Flourishing Challenge explores all of the above-mentioned areas! We hope your experience at 7 Cups helps you thrive more. ...See more Hi everyone, In light of our attempts at scaling up our social media efforts as well as amazing feedback from our CDM trainees and other community users learning and executing great graphics, we would like to invite you to participate in helping us achieve more growth at 7 Cups while gaining experience and being part of a great team! The Marketing Assistant role at 7 Cups will involve social media graphic creation, short writing as well as content generation, event conceptualization and execution, as well as other tasks that will help you build mental health awareness and support by supporting the 7 Cups social media team. At the moment, some focuses we are launching include: * Growth Paths: Join this project-based role and help market the H Prize, the amazing contributions, as well as other growth path related content after the Prize! * Therapy: Help us cover therapist reviews, therapy AMAs, expert insight, therapist-led events, therapist tips, and more. * 7 Cups Academy: Help us promote and showcase the excellent academy programs, their testimonials, academy events, and more. * Other Content Assignments: There is no limit to the number of contributions here! Many ideas to come. Requirements: * Be able to create a minimum of 4 graphics alongside other contributions per month (1/week). * Be available every week for a check-in and communicate any breaks. * Be part of 7 Cups for at least a month before applying as well as have a general feel/feedback about the current social media aesthetic and presentation by 7 Cups. * Be an Assistant for 3 months at a minimum to earn a letter of recommendation, as well as future onboarding to the official 7 Cups social media team. ...See more Hi everyone, I hope you’re doing well! As part of our ongoing efforts to keep academy programs aligned with the needs of our trainees, we periodically review and update our coursework. The CDM team has recently made adjustments to streamline the requirements for CDM trainees, making the process of graduating easier. These updates include the removal, merging, and minor additions to the coursework. A special thank you to @Soulfullyabutterfly for her extensive support in finalizing and executing updates to the program, and to @Clarisse29 for her insights in helping finalize the CDM updates.  Here’s what’s changed: * The program now has a default duration of 12 weeks. You can request an extension if need be towards the end of the program.  * The number of coursework posts has been reduced from 13 to 10. * Coursework that no longer serves its purpose has been removed.  * Minor changes to coursework activities to meet the current content learning needs.  * Merging of posts that have relevant content * The Coursework Participation Report and Coursework Completion Quiz have been removed. * The Weekly Progress Report Thread has been removed. * The Q&A Practicum Option is being replaced by a new Building a Growth Path module. * New Honors Options! These changes aim to simplify the process, focusing only on what’s necessary for trainees to meet program goals. Who do these changes apply to? These updates apply to both existing trainees and new trainees who join after this update. What does this mean for existing trainees? * Existing trainees will receive a personalized message outlining their pending requirements and how to transition to the updated system. As this requires individual checks, please expect the message by Tuesday (March 11, 2025). * The old requirement list has been edited to indicate that it is outdated and no longer to be followed.  * You’ll still receive credit for any work you’ve already completed. * The new system reduces the overall workload, meaning you’ll need fewer submissions to graduate! * We hope these updates will make your learning journey smoother and more efficient. We have had another great year supporting people curious about combining mental health advocacy and expression with content and graphics. We are proud to mentor and support everyone striving to use the power of words for awareness, advocacy or personal expression. With 78 grads since our launch, we look forward to growing as a team of mentors, content creators, and users who aspire to continue expressing. Here is a little poem for this occassion: "I picked up a pen, To explore things unsaid. My words flowed like waves, Gently crashing onto my page. And with grace, I let all my thoughts and feelings unfold. Like a gate opened towards freedom, My worries all only an echo. You are fit for the role if you: * A verified listener. * No serious behavior reports in the past 3 months. * Have 2 hours/week to volunteer for CDM. * A team player who is able to work independently. * Able to respond to pm from trainees and the team within 2 days time. * Must be comfortable leading group AMAs 1x/ month for the programs. * Able to deliver feedback in a supportive, and compassionate manner.
