How Well Are You Thriving? Assess Your Flourishing
by SoulfullyAButterfly
Last post
December 26th, 2025
...See more Thank you for joining the Flourishing Challenge! Flourishing is the gold standard for measuring well-being. It is a multi-dimensional concept that refers to the process of making an active effort to pursue key well-being areas such as positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, and accomplishment. We are grateful to have you join us on this journey. Researchers from Harvard University have designed a Flourishing test that helps us assess how much we are flourishing in our lives. Their research and assessment closely relates to 6 main areas: (1) Happiness and Life Satisfaction (2) Mental and Physical Health (3) Meaning and Purpose (4) Character and Virtue (5) Close Social Relationships (6) Financial and Material Stability You can now assess your flourishing levels using Harvard's assessment via 7 Cups here [https://www.7cups.com/assessment/Flourishing] - the results will help you keep track of which areas you are doing well in, as well as areas that you can improve in. The best part is that this current Flourishing Challenge explores all of the above-mentioned areas! We hope your experience at 7 Cups helps you thrive more. You can keep track of your flourishing levels by exploring your personal private timeline (click here [https://www.7cups.com/path/]) and comparing your flourishing level progress - remember, flourishing may have its ups and downs but the key here is to keep doing small things for your overall wellness journey! We will retake the flourishing test throughout this challenge and you can also take it at regular 2-week intervals if you like. This is a glimpse of what the timeline results display looks like: Feel welcome to reflect on your results in this thread. Which flourishing areas are you most looking forward to improving in?

Our Favorite Affirmations

...See more Affirmations are short, generally positive, statements or phrases that can help challenge negative or challenging thoughts. Affirmations work by leading to long-term changes in the way we think and feel, and so many people find them helpful. While there may be many affirmations you can look up on the internet for several topics, writing your own affirmation for yourself, generally or for a specific challenge, can be powerful on its own. Do you have an affirmation that helps you? Please share it in this thread so that we can collect our favorite/most useful affirmations.

What is your #1 method to settle down your panic attack/anxiety

...See more I would love to hear your number one method to keep your panic/anxiety in check. If you don't have any methods, and this is something you struggle with, feel free to look at other replies to get an idea, and post one way you are willing to try, for the benefit under the panic attack/ anxiety. My number one way in solving my panic attacks when they are full force and happening is the ICE trick, putting an ice cube on the back of my neck right at the base usually brings me back to ground level in about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Friday Fiction: Narrative Voice
by ouiCherie
Last post
August 22nd, 2022
...See more Often referred to as Point of View (PoV). 3 common types of narrative voice: First Person: the character is the narrator, and we use “I” and “me” in telling the story. Second Person: it’s when we use a lot of “you” and “your” to tell the story. Speak directly to the reader or another character in the story. Third Person: typically using “he”, “she”, “him/ his”, “her”, “they”, “them” or the character’s name, and the narrator isn’t the character. The third person point of view is the most common point of view out of the most common three xD so we’ll explore it a bit. Typical 3rd person point of view: Omniscient: A know-it-all narrator, can go inside the characters’ minds, and sometimes time leaps. It was quite popular in the past. Limited: In this story, the narrator can only look into the head and experience the emotions of one character. Consider using dialogue or describing body language or facial expressions if you want to suggest what the other characters are feeling or thinking. Multiple PoV: The story told from the perspective of multiple characters. Usually, the point of view alternates between chapters. * Which one is your favourite when you read a story? * Choose 1 narrative voice and write a short paragraph that tells about the day the character has finally overcome depression. Have a great Friday and weekend ahead! 💙

...See more Welcome to our July Self-Care Challenge [https://www.7cups.com/forum/SiteUpdates_100/SoulfullyAButterflysContentGarden_2136/JoinOurJulySelfCareChallenge_282076/]. Throughout this week, we will be going through various prompts to gain insight and action to upgrade our self-care practices. Most of us feel like we need to upgrade our self-care practices, but we may also be self-caring at some levels. Reflecting on our needs and self-care practices is one of the objectives of this week’s challenge. Subtraction may help us gain some insights: Imagine that you cannot self-care for one whole month. How would this change your life? Be honest and share your answers. This is our starting point - realizing that we do need self-care, already do some form of self-care, but can always use the improvement. Want to earn a Kindness Badge for practicing self-kindness which is an important aspect of this self-care challenge? Remember to fill out this form [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdQXOZcC9_pdoVLMxxnPJVlS0xTzx2Yl2pZHgIRq1PKHaf7UA/viewform] daily.
