Honouring Listener Reviews - January 2025
by Lyra
Last post
January 22nd
...See more Another year, another chance to shout out some brilliant listener reviews. 🌟 @Hereforyou83 🌟 “They were really sweet and helped me alot thank you so much :D” Wow, what a fab review and congrats on your first review! It's amazing how you helped this person. 🌟 @AdrianAllegro 🌟 “Was a good listener, I was able to talk more than one hour. I'd like to talk to him again and highly recomend to other members.” How generous was Adrian with his time - to develop such a bond with someone who has such kind words to say, well done! 🌟 @Oscarthecat3 🌟 "incredibly kind" I love how succinct this is and speaks to the essence of what listening is - being there, being supportive and offering that kindness that this member has appreciated so much. Well done all and thank you for what you do!

...See more This Cupsgiving week [https://www.7cups.com/forum/projectsandevents/CommunityActivitiesEvents_1908/Cupsgiving2025SeasonsofSupportNovemberMasterpost_368771/], we are all about celebrating kindness in action. Sometimes the smallest words of appreciation can leave the longest-lasting impact. Today, we invite you to slow down, take a breath, and write a Kindness Letter: a short note of gratitude or encouragement for someone in your life or even for yourself! You can write to: 💙 A listener who made you feel heard 💙 A member who supported you 💙 A friend, family member, or someone you appreciate 💙 Yourself, if you need a reminder of your own strength and kindness Your letter doesn’t need to be long or perfect. Just honest. Here are some questions to help: Who has shown you kindness recently, and what would you like to thank them for? Or what do you want to gently remind yourself of today? Feel free to post your message below. You can keep names private if you prefer or can tag the relevant users.

What is Kindness and How does it impact someone’s life

...See more Hello  lovely people! Hope y'all are doing well and staying safe!  Welcome to Day 3 of the "Random Acts of Kindness [https://www.7cups.com/forum/gratitude/HonoringVolunteersSpecialEvents_2119/RandomActsofKindnessMasterpost2025_347194/] " Event. Huge shoutout to @Bubbles2025 for hosting this beautiful event and writing this thoughtful discussion!! ♥️♥️ I will be asking a series of questions that I would like you to answer. They are hard, mind activating questions so get ready! 1. Is kindness more about actions or intentions? If someone means well but causes harm, can their act still be considered kind? 2. What does it mean to be kind to oneself, and how does self-kindness impact the way we treat others? 3. Is kindness always the right choice, or are there situations where being kind can cause harm? 4. When, if ever, should kindness be withheld? Is there such a thing as “too much” kindness? 5. What role does vulnerability play in acts of kindness? Does being kind require emotional risk? 6. What is the most meaningful act of kindness you have ever experienced, and how did it change you?     🧡 Here [https://www.7cups.com/forum/gratitude/HonoringVolunteersSpecialEvents_2119/RandomActsofKindnessMasterpost2025_347194/] is the Masterpost of this event.  🧡 Here [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc0qPN9vO82ZkV4PtWnJvcLvwDF-DL8lteKzCmNAV17KgiIRA/viewform]is the Feedback Form [https://forms.gle/ud8EGmtq7gsotmZh8]. A Quick Thank-You! 💖

...See more Hey hey hey community, just wanted to make a quick little thank you post to appreciate the team work in keeping our community safer and appropriate for all, ensuring there’s guidelines being followed and more people emotionally benefitting from the sense of community and belonging here! 🥰 This is in regards to a recent splurge in spam posts/ replies forum-wide, that some of you may have noticed, gosh now as part of the forum leadership team, I’ve spent a while on removing more than 97 spammy forum replies today. And I see there’s more! XD  We’ll tackle those too im sure haha! 🤝 How available are people to go around though spamming oof!  Wishing them well, for whatever reasons they had to spam.  But this one was for you, the people who show up for the community!  For being aware of the guidelines and expected behaviour and for voicing out when  you see something!  For effective use of tools available to you to contribute towards support and reliability in the community.  Please continue to flag any forum-violating posts you come across, it helps our forum team immensely to remove them or take any further required actions.  Your mindful efforts impact so much more than you realise. It’s one of the more “unrecognised” ways of support here I feel, but I didn’t want your effort to go unnoticed, so please please please do acknowledge my sincere gratitude towards each one of you trying to foster a supportive, safe and welcoming space in the forumland, or even our community as a whole, you know who you are and I wanted to remind you that I see you too and I appreciate you too for everything you do! 💖 I promise you, every little bit counts here. For people who want to make a difference, you are already doing more than enough and that too as a team! Woohoo! 🥰 (This post is not a space for seeking/ sharing forum feedback or talking about anyone in particular~ it’s simply a thank you post dedicated to the ones who care and who show up, you’d know if you’re one of them and you deserve to be recognised for it🤗)  ------------------------- A couple of resources for everyone:  💛 Forum handbook [https://www.7cups.com/forum/7cupsleadership/ForumGuides_2597/StrugglingwiththeforumsFindyourhandbookhere_309768/]  💛 Forum Moderation Policy [https://www.7cups.com/forum/7cupsleadership/General_2420/NewForumModerationPolicy2023UpdatedRepost_296651/] 💛 Expanded Forum Guidelines! ...See more Hello lovely people! Hope y'all are doing well and staying safe!  Welcome to Day 2 of the "Random Acts of Kindness [https://www.7cups.com/forum/gratitude/HonoringVolunteersSpecialEvents_2119/RandomActsofKindnessMasterpost2025_347194/]” Event. Huge shoutout to @Bubbles2025 for organizing this wonderful event and writing this amazing piece!! ♥️♥️ Kindness is one of the most powerful yet underrated forces in the world. It is more than just being polite or saying nice things—it is about showing care, empathy, and understanding toward others. Acts of kindness, whether big or small, have the ability to brighten someone’s day, ease their burdens, and create a positive ripple effect in a community. In a world that can sometimes feel harsh and competitive, kindness reminds us of our shared humanity and our responsibility to look out for one another. One of the most important aspects of kindness is that it does not always require grand gestures. A simple smile, a thoughtful compliment, or helping someone who is struggling can have a meaningful impact. In school, for example, students face many challenges, from academic stress to social pressures. A kind word or a supportive gesture from a classmate can make all the difference. Even small efforts, like holding the door for someone or including a quiet student in a group conversation, show that kindness is about being aware of others' feelings and needs. However, being kind is not always easy. It requires patience, understanding, and sometimes even courage. There may be moments when kindness is met with indifference or even negativity, but that should not discourage us from continuing to be kind. True kindness is not about seeking rewards or recognition—it is about doing what is right simply because we care. Choosing kindness in difficult situations, such as standing up for someone being bullied or offering forgiveness instead of holding grudges, takes strength and character. In the long run, kindness benefits not just the people who receive it but also those who give it. Studies show that acts of kindness can improve mental health, reduce stress, and even increase happiness. When we treat others with compassion and respect, we build stronger relationships and create an environment where everyone feels valued. A culture of kindness in schools, workplaces, and communities makes the world a better place, encouraging cooperation, trust, and mutual support. Ultimately, kindness is a choice that we make every day. It is not about perfection but about consistently trying to be a source of positivity for others. Whether through words or actions, we all have the power to make someone’s life a little better. The more kindness we put into the world, the more it grows, creating a cycle of goodwill that can inspire change in ways we may never fully realize. ...See more Hey everyone, Today is world volunteer day so I just wanted to take a moment to share how much I appreciate each of you.  The way you show up for people in need, offering kindness, understanding, and a listening ear inspires me to be better everyday.  Day after day, you create a safe and supportive space for individuals around the world who are struggling, and you might not always realize how much of an impact your existence and what you do makes. Being part of this community with all of you is such a privilege. Your guys are one of the few things that give me hope a better world is possible and that good people still exist.  Together, we’re not just offering support—we’re giving hope to people who might feel like they have nowhere else to turn. Thank you for being the incredible people you are, for the time and heart and soul you pour into what you do, and for inspiring me every day. Sending hugs, love and lots of cookies sarinn
