Suicide Prevention Month 2018!
September is Suicide Prevention Month! On 7 Cups, we would like to bring awareness to this important cause by holding a week-long event to highlight the importance of talking about mental health and suicide prevention! September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day! Keep an eye out for our forum post on that day which will introduce our week-long event (September 10th - 16th, 2018). By speaking up, together we can make a difference!

As a member i have a few issues with this.
One being that i ptefer my listeners to have stable pictures that are unique to them. I think awareness is good, but if all listeners shddenly have the same or similar poctures, i don't feel like they are individuals anymore and it makes it mote difficult for me to feel empathy form them.
The second is you should not be mass tagging for this. I seenyou are pulling taglist from other communities and even from leadership positooms. What is the point of that? If the point is to get everyone involved, masstagging is ineffecrive and actually exclusionary. Use the feed or an alert. Maybe there was a different purpose, but from my side as a member i see exclusinary spammy tactics.

Good points. Sometimes listeners all change their pic for a discussion or event to show support. But I agree with you about identity and recognition.
@AnyaS i love that september is suicide prevention month and to celebrate suicide prevention month i hope listeners will decide to use some of their profile space to include a positive well thought out message to people who are suicidal and give contact info for hotlines instead of doing this in live chats with people where listeners might find themselves at a loss for the perfect words to say to people who do come to them who are suicidal there are text and call numbers on my profile that listeners can add to theirs also a link to international call and text numbers

Heyyyy Anya! That dash has Recovery discussions on too? Is that right? Is Recovery part of the Suicide Prevention week? I want to add the right discussions but am not sure now?
